I had a 5d transfer and so have had two betas taken - 12dpo 232 and then 15 dpo 1626! Waiting for an ultrasound to confirm but RE says twins are a possibility!
I'm having HCG and progesterone levels checked tomorrow and Saturday. I've had some light spotting that has gotten a little brighter (not heavier though, nothing that would be needing a pad for) and some sharp pains on my left so they're testing to see if it's a possible ectopic. FX for good results please!!

I went for my first beta test today and it was 272! 4w1d---is this really a possibility of twins if it's high this early? I go back Friday and I am excited! We have been trying for 3 years and have had one loss....but I think this is the one! Fingers and toes crossed!!!
@benicode Fingers crossed for good results. I hope it's just 'one of those things', y'know?
Gave myself a panic attack with one of those Clear Blue Weeks Estimator tests today -- was expecting it to say 3+ and it only said 2-3... so I went in to the RE's for another draw. And now I feel better; got results a couple hours later. Doubling times have slowed down, but that's to be expected -- today's levels were still good.
So we're at:
9dp5dt/14DPO: 172.7
12dp5dt/17DPO: 740 (doubling 34.2hr)
17dp5dt/22DPO: 4149 (doubling 48.2hr)
Apparently, once you hit 1200, the doubling time slows from "every 48-72hrs" to "every 72-96hrs"... and once you hit 6000, it slows to "every 96hrs".

I had my first beta test done the same day I got my positive home pregnancy test, at 3w6d. Went in for my test results yesterday and my doctor said they were in the 900 range. According to him I either conceived earlier in my cycle than expected, or it could be twins. I go for the second round of tests on Saturday at 4w6d.
This may be a really silly question but...how do you get your Dr. to do betas? Is it done in the OB office or at a "quest" type blood center? I'd LOVE them....for reassurance. But I tried asking a week ago when we got my BFP and the office said they will do blood work and ultrasound at 8 weeks and nothing prior.
It's not standard. Most offices won't do them because there isn't really a need.
@benicode I've been feeling a bit of pain on my left side too! What does yours feel like? FX that it's all good for you.
I'm starting to feel like these beta draws are an American thing... Are there any Canadians out there that have been tracked like that? I went to my doctor to confirm pregnancy at 3w6d (urine test) and her next step was, "Wait and see!" lol.
I know for sure that Canadian IVF patients get beta draws; some Canadian friends have gone through it. But I think you need to have a history of things going wrong before they start tracking that closely -- same as here.

@candicek15 They were short stabbing pains. They really weren't too painful but b/c of that they wanted to check the levels just in case. I've had some other cramping here and there but it's not that bad and it's more achy and dull.

@benicode Hmmm... that sounds a bit like what I've been experiencing. Sort of like painful pokes along with some cramping. I have my follow-up appt booked for the end of October and I imagine they'll send me for an ultrasound then anyway. I will try not to freak out about it all until then (HA!)
Just an update for me - My levels are not increasing anywhere near what they should. I have to go in for an u/s and probably a follow-up one a week later; doesnt' look good. Fingers crossed for me ladies -
