Anyone else getting HCG betas drawn? I had my first on Tuesday (15dpo or 4w+1day) and found out it came back at 155. From what I have gathered it appears to be normal but my doctor said it was low and that has me a bit freaked out.

I had my 2nd this morning and likely won't find out until tomorrow morning and the wait makes me so insane!!! I had a CP last month and I am terrified the number won't double when I get my results.

I'm just having the one beta I find out my results at 3 today. My tests are getting darker though, I just wanted to extra confirm pregnancy since this time is so different than with my first.

I am not having betas drawn, but that is totally in the normal range. I wouldn't stress yet!  Enjoyr your BFP while you can, and we will continue to send our prayers for a healthy pregnancy.

I had my first draw at 10dpo (3w4d) and it was 8.4 hcg. I had my second draw yesterday and I am currently waiting for results but my tests are getting darker and darker so I am feeling positive!

I had a beta 12 dpo and it was 196.
I know it's super hard but try not to stress about it. every one hás different Numbers. On my first pregnancy at 12 dpo my betas where 184. I hope your numbers keep coming up!

My beta was 36 yesterday but have no idea when I conceived lol

Try not to focus on the numbers themselves (just like we don't focus on the number of the scale, right>??!) 


If they're increasing, that is a good sign. FX your numbers rise

Thanks! 10 dpo was 8.4 and 12 dpo was 35.7! I go in for a 3rd draw next Tuesday just to be sure I hit triple digits!

@AHCN510 Woohoo! Glad to see they're increasing. I got my results back from my second and it was 411! I feel so much better!

Yayyy! I'm glad the second one was so much better!

I had my second beta today... First was Tuesday (9dp5dt) -- 172.7. Second was today, Friday (12dp5dt) -- 740. Doubling time is 34.2hrs, and the RE says twins are a possibility. o_o

Had mine done at 11 dpo my hcg was 59.
Today at 13 dpo it was 179.
A doubling time of 26.8.

I had mine drawn on Thursday which was 3 weeks + 6 days and it was 496.  I'm having it redrawn on Monday to make sure everything looks good.

I'm having my first drawn this afternoon. From what I have been told a single number doesn't mean much, its the doubling time that is important!!  I hope you get your results soon!!

I just got mine back, im 3w6d.

Progesterone - 55

She seemed really pleased with these numbers and shes also even wondering about the possibility its twins. 

Any one have any experience with levels and twins?!

(i know next to nothing about safe/normal betas.)

I decided to push my doctor for another draw. Hcg on 9/23 was 36 and having another draw today. Should be at least 144 as of yesterday. I'm so nervous and scared. I get results tomorrow.

Congrats on all of ur BFPs! Don't worry too much about how high or low the first beta is, all that matters is that it increases by at least 60 percent is the next 72 hrs

Just had my 1st beta today. 300 at 4w3d. Will go back Wednesday to see if it doubled.

I don't know if you can actually tell this early by betas if it's twins. I have a friend that was pregnant with triplets and her first betas were in the 100-200 range, but my singleton pregnancies have also been in that range.

She wasnt super clear on why she was saying it. She could have been saying it cause its common with fertility treatments for all i know. But from context clues she seemed to be saying it inreference to the number, but i suppose we will know next week or so.

My second beta was a little low and I pushed for progesterone and now it's looking great. Don't freak out if it's not quite doubling, it should double every 48-72 hours.

@TheHauntedHauswife , when I had my betas at 12 dpo, my doctor told me that if the numbers were above 300 there was a high possibility of twins...

Nope ( I called 4 hours ago and still no call back. This is why I'm switching practices. I'm tired of getting automatic voicemail and then having to babysit my phone all day for a call back 3-6 hours later.

So guess I don't get my results today. I called and left a voicemail for results at 10 called back now and they're closed for the day until 830 tomorrow. No one even called me back so pissed

This may be a really silly question but...how do you get your Dr. to do betas? Is it done in the OB office or at a "quest" type blood center?  I'd LOVE them....for reassurance. But I tried asking a week ago when we got my BFP and the office said they will do blood work and ultrasound at 8 weeks and nothing prior.

I'm pretty sure I've got twins in there.  Ended up in the ER due to OHSS 11dpiui and they took blood and it was at 111, yesterday at my doctors appt they redrew blood and it was 155.  Go back tomorrow just to make sure its still moving on up.

At least at my doctors office, you get betas if you have previous losses or are high risk...I did not get them with my first. I get them now bc I've had 4 losses, and some other complications. The no blood work until your 8 weeks appointment is pretty typical for a first pregnancy...at least from my experience.
