OMG the sweating!

Is anyone else experiencing off the charts sweating? Especially at night. I wake up soaked from head to toe! I do have it during the day also, but nighttime is yucky! I do live where it's currently 100 degrees, but this is way worse than simple heat outside. What are you doing about it? Thanks!!!

Re: OMG the sweating!

  • How many weeks PP are you? I had really bad sweating the first 3 weeks or so, but it's been a lot better since then.

Hope it gets better for you too!

  • Yes! I've noticed that I sweat like a teenage boy. It's absolutely disgusting. Cuddling with my little personal heater (DS) doesn't help either. I wear athletic shorts and tank tops, keep the fans on and drink a lot of ice water but it doesn't help.
  • 7 weeks PP and still sweating! I have to change my clothes every night at around 3am! I hope it gets better soon.
  • 6 weeks pp and still having bad night sweats. I hate the feeling of trying to feed in the middle of night feeling all sweaty. Never lasted this long with my first.

  • I wake up soaked, last night was the worst yet - it was even getting in my eyes last night! So gross.
  • 5 weeks PP and still sweaty. LO and I both sweat like men.
  • I'm over 2 months pp and I am still sweating! what the heck is this! :(
Always hold on to hope ❤
  • Gah!! I was gonna make a post about this! I'm 4wpp and I feel gross all the time :-S
  • 6 weeks pp and sweating like woah. Ugh.
  • I know pp sweating can be normal, but mention to your OB if it seems excessive. Pregnancy can mess with your thyroid and cause excess sweating. If it doesn't go away, you may consider blood work to check your TSH levels.

  • I'm 6 weeks PP and I'm finally noticing the sweating is calming down, but before I was waking up drenched.
  • I'm 4 weeks pp, it's beginning to go away...thank god!
  • I'm weird and can't sweat much. It doesn't matter if I'm working in the heat for hours outside even, I won't get more than a tiny damp patch on my lower back, I just overheat since my body won't sweat to cool itself off. I find that even now at 8 weeks PP, I'm still getting waves of feeling like I'm boiling and then freezing other times. I'm just hoping it's not some kind of thyroid issue...
  • I think the night time sweating is caused from breastfeeding. I think it's your body just working on losing weight but maybe I'm wrong.
  • I had terrible terrible night sweats the first month. It got better but it still isn't gone 100%. It's way worse with her than it was with my boys so I attributed it to BFing.

    I agree with this!
  • Thanks girls! I do BF and I thought it might be because of that. Asked OB and she said its my body trying to get out the extra water from pregnancy...makes sense. I must've retained gallons of water!!!
