MandyBeeSLP From looking from your chart it gave you dotted CH so you can move on to the TWW.
MamaBish why would you be scared to have a due date in June?
I don't believe the crosshairs. I don't think my temp really shifted since it was 98.6 six times before that point. So I'm still of the opinion I haven't O'd yet. (See lengthy discussion in yesterday's WTO)
Edited to change four to six.
Now I am on the same page. Hopefully you get a good temp shift soon!

@Al_TwinCities- I've heard that CM can vary throughout your cycle just like some people have multiple LH surges and can turn OPKS or can't turn OPKS. So maybe yours varies?? At least I'm pretty sure I've heard that it can vary for some people.
@severmilli12- I'm so sorry that your journey here has been so long. I'm sure its frustrating. If you don't mind sharing, out of curiosity have you been temping the whole time? I just like to hear/ know about other people's experiences on this journey.
@AshVA- Most of the women here use the Mabis bbt. I got mine from Wal-mart.com and it was $6. They delivered it to Wal-mart for free.
@mrsschmity- glad to hear that your DH is still up for sex but sorry that he's struggling with the passing of your friend. Loss is never easy. And sorry about the pregnancy announcement you got. I want to be so happy for all the people in my life who are pregnant or just had kids recently but the struggle is so real some days. Hugs to you guys!!
@MandyBeeSLP- are you using a Mabis bbt? That's what most of the ladies here use. I was using a target one and after being told that those tend to favor temps I switched. I got my Mabis from Walmart.com and it was $6 delivered to the store.
@jhems776- I'm a fan of vaginal temping over here for sure. Put it in and just lay there. I was always trying to make sure the thermometer was in the right place or not falling out of my mouth or my mouth wasn't falling open......
@GinnjJ2012- Your temps can vary for so many reasons, sleeping in a place that is nor your own bed, sleeping in your bed with more covers/less covers, the AC was on, the AC was off, mouth breather, have you been sick? are you taking your temps at the same time everyday? If not how far off have you been from a "set/normal"time? Also, when I first started temping, I would take my temp @ 5:30-5:45 ish when i would wake up but i wouldn't put the temp in until 8 when I would get to work. That gave me open circles everywhere. Can you attach your chart so we can see it?
Month/Cycle: 5 month BC free/3rd month temping

What are you doing to get KU? OPKS, checking CM, temping, going to try get some sex in over the next few days
Rants/Raves/CS: Stressing about the O date.....I don't need a lot of sex in my life but I really would like this to happen sooner than later. So that's hard because we were traveling earlier in the month and have been pretty busy since we came home. And stressed......not been able to really work out much, so that is not helping. Trying really hard not to stress about any of it, but we all know how that goes. And TMI, but been having some pains I've never had before when we've had sex recently so I'm going to the dr today to talk to them about that. Insurance is getting ready to change on 10/1 and anything I'll need done will cost much more after 10/1. So if they just need to do an ultrasound or something and see if everything is ok in the lady part area, I'd rather do it sooner than later. I'll probably also see if there is anything else we can do at this point in the game just because I want to know what kinds of odds I'm up against in this process sooner than later. I'm 35 and I really don't want to wait until I'm 37 to find out that I'm completely infertile or something like that. I know that it can take up to a year for some people to conceive and we are just at about the 1/2 way point of that, so I am well aware to some I'm putting the cart before the horse, but especially with my insurance changes, I'd rather do some of the more simple, inexpensive things we can do (if there is such a thing) to rule anything out. Just really hoping I O with in a decent time frame here, I really think that the WTO could be worse than the TWW......And DH possibly broke his finger on Saturday....good times!
GTKY: What is your favorite fall outfit to wear? I'm not a "fashion" person at all......I love all the outfits people wear but don't feel confident pulling them off. Give me yoga pants and a long sleeve tee shirt for the fall days or a hoodie
*****Questions********
1) How much does traveling affect O date??
2) Why is FF showing CH on my chart for last month even though it took them back and said that it couldn't determine an actual O date? (so my interpretation of that is that I had an anovulatory cycle last month)
3)I didn't start temping until CD 7 this month because I started temping vaginally this month. does that make a difference that I waited that Long to start temping? Chart looks ok so far, not too concerned with that, just wondering if anybody has any experience with that.
@mnturnsva I haven't been temping the whole time. I went the first several months without temping to see what would happen. I thought I would be pregnant after 4-5 months. When I wasn't I temped for a month but then stopped after one cycle because my sleep pattern was so thrown off. I was going through a lot of stress with buying a home and some other things and my temps seemed to reflect that and I didn't feel like they were accurate enough. I decided to chill out and 'relax' regarding ttc. We still tried and I still charted cm and did opks but I didn't temp and I didn't test before AF. Then that clearly didn't work so I got frustrated with my body and started temping again. This is my third month getting back into temping so I'm hoping by the time our year mark comes around in December that I won't have to go back to my GYN for an RE referral
I know that there's a possibility that I was missing my O date when I wasn't temping, but DH and I have sex almost EOD throughout the entire month...so I feel like even if I wasn't temping or charting or even paying attention to my cycles that our timing was still good enough. I have no idea what's going.

Thanks @MNturnsVA! September is not off to a great start, but we're making the best of it. Keeping my FX for this next TWW. Maybe we'll get some good news and brighten some of this darkness with a BFP.
I feel really bad whenever I get salty about someone else's BFP, because deep down I am genuinely happy for them. It's just irritating because I have literally seen friends announcing every single week for the last month or so. Then bragging about how it was their first month trying and sending me a BFP pee stick in a text message....just rubbing salt in the wound. I'm an asshole
I hope all goes well at the Dr. I would always rather be safe then sorry when it comes to my lady parts. Also, FWIW I didn't start temping until around CD7 this month. From all the feedback I had gotten from ladies here, I knew I was a mouth breather most nights so I started temping vaginally as well (this is my first month temping). I wasn't sure how to go about that during AF - assuming it would be the same, but just felt weird doing it so I waited until after. We'll see how this month goes!
@MNturnsVA I am using a ReliOn from Walmart. It actually is made by the Mabis company according to the back of it. My first full month temping I thought I would try it and see and I was still able to clearly see a shift and it wasn't favoring temps the way it is right now. I think that I may order the Mabis BBT everyone on here talks about if/when AF arrives this cycle.

Just because you started temping at CD 7 would not affect your O date. I also temp vaginally so I wait until my period is gone. I believe that FF would still be able to give you CH if you O's on like CD 11 for example.

What are you doing to get KU? Sex EOD at least, charting, OPKs.
Rants/Raves/CS: OPK this morning was not positive, but also not back down to my normal baseline level yet. CP/CM still fertile. I'm guessing tonight/tomorrow for O. We'll HIO until the CM dries up. I'm feeling good about our timing this month!
GTKY: What is your favorite fall outfit to wear? We don't really get fall here. It gets a little cooler, but just like pants and short sleeves weather. I'm excited for it to get cool enough to wear my cowboy boots! I need to knit myself some boot cuffs.
What are you doing to get KU? AF is down to spotting, so will get back to it.
Rants/Raves/CS: AF is leaving, so began temping again today. We'll likely begin HIO EOD tomorrow, which will make DH happy because my family is also leaving tomorrow, so it'll be like a reward for him.
GTKY: What is your favorite fall outfit to wear? I love wearing jeans, Uggs, and a long sleeve shirt/sweatshirt. My favorite weather!
What are you doing to get KU? Temping/charting, PNV, OPKs, BD ED now that I'm in FW
Rants/Raves/CS: I was just offered a position as the middle school cross country coach....it's a brand new sport for our middle school and I am excited and nervous at the same time! Hopefully it will keep my mind off of TTC for a little while :-)
GTKY: What is your favorite fall outfit to wear? Judge away, but there is nothing better than sweats in the fall/winter!
What are you doing to get KU? BD, prenatal vitamins, temping, CM
Rants/Raves/CS: UGGGGGHHHH!! I totally forgot to temp this morning and when I checked CM later in the day it was EWCM! pretty bummed I missed out on temping today . Also I made an appointment with my GP about this long a$$ cycle post MC for what will be close to the 60 day mark, and if AF finally drops by before then I have some other things I want to discuss with her.
GTKY: What is your favorite fall outfit to wear? around the house I like my yoga pants and a hoodie or zip-up with a tank top underneath...but if I'm going out I like jeans with a tanktop/ button up cardigan or a knit sweater
What are you doing to get KU? Provera day 7, temping, charting, prenatal.
Rants/Raves/CS: Bad day. Still getting the run around trying to get to an RE. Also, WTF is up with the new "fertility myths" thread? Really BGs? You want is to discuss fertility myths? Ugh.
Honorable mentions: Biggest IF support sister, sweetest bumpie, most genuine, LFAFer you'd most like to visit, great things come in small packages, pocket sized babe
What are you doing to get KU? we are trying for every other day. Not charting or temping bc I'm worried about it causing me stress/ anxiety. Maybe ill start it next month just to try out. Right now I've been using ovulation and fertility app and it predicts AF exactly, so I'm thinking the O predictor is pretty accurate.
Rants/Raves/CS: I'm pretty sure I didn't ovulate last month bc I had no symptoms. I can usually feel it. That was really upsetting and I'm just looking forward to starting again. It kinda feel like gambling.. the suspense the waiting... the excitement and hopefulness and then the disappointment

@MNturnsVA They actually recommend women 35 and older to see an RE after trying unsuccessfully for 6 months (instead of the typical 1 year). So you're definitely not putting the cart before the horse. I'm in the same boat with insurance changes and I know how expensive the infertility tests/dr visits can be. Hoping you get some answers!

What are you doing to get KU? Just temping until AF is gone
Rants/Raves/CS: For the ladies that temp vaginally, are the vaginal temps as sensitive to waking up, talking, moving around as oral temps? I'm seeing conflicting answers in previous threads/general googling.
GTKY: What is your favorite fall outfit to wear? Jeans, fitted jacket, scarf & boots
@ttcimpls- This is my first month temping vaginally and I've heard/read a few different mixed reviews on how sensitive it is before I started doing it. This morning I woke up before alarm went off because I was really hot so I kicked some of the blankets off. I overslept this AM because my alarm didn't go off and my dog sleeps with us and he was past ready to go out. So he was jumping all over me and licking my face while I was temping. I was afraid that may affect the temp this morning but I don't think that it did. I have gotten some interesting results with mouth temping last month? one morning I woke up and was temping and my mouth kept falling open because I was still sleeping and I think I did it again, but I was like ugh, this temp can't be right. So I brought the thermometer downstairs with me and temped then. It was only slightly different (I cant remember if it was lower or higher) I've also dropped the thermometer before on the floor and picked it back up and temped after picking it back up. So I've noticed that the movement doesn't necessarily seem to affect it so much even if you are orally temping. I've gotten some pretty mixed results, but I do feel that so far this month my vaginal temps are most "consistent" vs my last month temps orally. My first month orally temping was pretty stable and consistent but last month was all over the place. And I really like vaginal temping because you just do it and forget about it until it beeps. From my understanding the temps will be slightly higher to start vaginally than what your oral temps would be.
@severmilli12- Do you mind me asking how old you are? You may want to try to get in to see your OB sooner. They can maybe do some tests before you go to an RE? They are going to do a few blood tests on me to see where my hormone levels are at. I have to go on day 3 of my cycle and day 21. I'm sorry to hear about all the ups and downs you've had on your journey. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!!
@rrauws- I'm glad to hear you have an appt made to go see your dr already!! Sometimes they can be so hard to get into on short notice!!
@Lin&say- I'm glad I went to the dr yesterday. I'm hoping I won't need to go in for the blood tests she is ordering, but even if I do need them, I feel much better getting more answers earlier on than later. I have a friend who will be 38 in a few days and they have been trying for almost 3 years although they had to take some time off of TTC due to her being unemployed. But she didn't know that they recommend you go see a specialist after 6 months at age 35. I feel like we are kind of a happy medium with that being I just turned 35 and we are on month 5. And these are just the most basic of tests that the dr has recommended because I told her yesterday I don't want to go to any extremes, but if there is anything that we can do now just to make sure that things are working properly.
@chicandbubbly- how old are you? have you had a bunch of stress going on? were you sick? what have your O dates been the last few months that you've been tracking? were you on BC? how long have you been off BC? I wouldn't worry necessarily just yet depending on your answers to some of those questions. Although I know that is much easier said than done.....
@KarenBeth714- I have a love hate relationship with temping. It is nice because it is the only way to know that you actually did ovulate at home without having to go to a dr office. I would recommend it simply because the OPKS are just a secondary sign.
@MNturnsVA I'm 27. My insurance won't cover tests at this point so I'm waiting. Since I'm young and still under the year mark I'm just going to wait it out and hope for the best. It took my friend who is twenty-eight 13 months to conceive and even though her fertility means nothing to me, that still gives me a little hope.

@MNturnsVA The falling asleep and waking up with my mouth open is my problem. I usually put thermometer in while I'm half asleep and often get woken up by the beep to find the thermometer fell out and I have to re-temp. I have noticed my temps go up significantly (like .1 to .2) within minutes when I temp half asleep vs more awake so I'm wondering if vaginal temps might be more accurate and less sensitive to a temp spike caused by moving around or waking up. I may just have to try it this cycle and see... I think I'm still early enough to switch
@severmilli12- gotcha. I wonder if they would cover the blood work that I'm getting done. I don't think its infertility related per say?? I left the paperwork at home but I can bring it and let you know tomorrow if you wanted to just double check? A friend of mine said one of her friends has been to a fertility specialist and they told her that they didn't want to hear her say that she would never get pregnant, they just had to find the way to make it happen. That was reassuring to me.
@ttcimpls- I just looked at your OP and it looks like you are only on CD 3. I would definitely switch to vaginally and start that tomorrow. I don't see why it should give you any funny #'s or affect your chart too much. I started temping vaginally on CD 7 this cycle and so far I wouldn't say that there are any issues. and from the feedback I got about that question in particular, I think you would be ok.
@MNturnsVA I've gonna call my insurance and gyn's office to see what they will cover, if anything. I have a history of abdominal surgeries (appendix was leaking and had it removed when I was younger) which is a concern for me. I've expressed this concern with my PCP and Gyn and neither of them were concerned, so who knows. Its still something to consider.

@severmilli12- these were blood tests for my LH levels on CD 21 and my estradiol levels I think and TSH? and something else on CD 3. Its worth a phone call to see what they say? I really don't think these are "infertility" related.....
@MNturnsVA if you don't mind me asking, are there certain reasons or symptoms that made you go in for your blood tests? I've never even thought about getting my levels checked because my cycles are so normal and I've never had any issues with them. I just assumed if I couldn't get pregnant easily it probably had something to do with my tubes or ovaries due to my surgery or infection with my appendix.

@severmilli12- I had been having pain when we were having sex over the last week and a 1/2 or so? Not like a UTI or yeast infection pain or bacterial infection or anything like that. I've had all those, this was more of an "internal" pain than anything. It happened 3-4 times in the last week and a half? My insurance getting ready to change as of 10/1 and everything is going to cost me more out of pocket. So I wanted to go talk to the dr to get everything checked out to make sure there wasn't a cyst or something inside. She did the exam and said that everything felt fine but I told her we'd been TTC for 5 months and that I had just turned 35 in Aug. I am not overly concerned that something is wrong per say, but I wanted to make sure that we can eliminate anything or have as much info as possible at this point. I really don't think the dr would have ordered the blood tests unless I mentioned that I turned 35 and that my insurance was changing. She probably would have just ordered the ultra sound maybe. But maybe none of that even. I'm guessing the only reason she's ordering them is because I pretty much asked for whatever we could do at this point that wasn't unrealistic or over reacting. They say if you are 35 and have been TTC unsuccessfully for 6 months you should go see a specialist anyways, so I feel like I'm at somewhat of a happy medium since we have been TTC going on 5 months now with this month yet to see what happens. The dr did ask if I'd turned an OPK positve, which I have and I told her I'd been temping and that I thought I'd had an anovulatory cycle last month. And my OPKS have pretty much matched up with when FF is saying I'm supposed to O, which I guess is a plus as well. My temps were all over the place last month so i switched to vaginal temping this month. My first month they were more "stable". So no real syptoms or issues really other than the pain, but because I just turned 35 and my insurance is changing, I wanted to try get anything done I could now that would not be "jumping the gun" per say or jumping to conclusions. I can tell you the info tonight when I get home, I just can't remember what exactly the tests are. But its worth a phone call to the insurance for sure and see what they say or a phone call to your dr office and see if they'll put in a request for you to help advocate for you.

CD: 12
What are you doing to get KU? Temping/charting, PNV, OPKs, BD ED now that I'm in FW
Rants/Raves/CS: I was just offered a position as the middle school cross country coach....it's a brand new sport for our middle school and I am excited and nervous at the same time! Hopefully it will keep my mind off of TTC for a little while :-)
GTKY: What is your favorite fall outfit to wear? Judge away, but there is nothing better than sweats in the fall/winter!
Edited because I can't count....
CD: 44
What are you doing to get KU? BD, prenatal vitamins, temping, CM
Rants/Raves/CS: UGGGGGHHHH!! I totally forgot to temp this morning and when I checked CM later in the day it was EWCM! pretty bummed I missed out on temping today
GTKY: What is your favorite fall outfit to wear? around the house I like my yoga pants and a hoodie or zip-up with a tank top underneath...but if I'm going out I like jeans with a tanktop/ button up cardigan or a knit sweater

What are you doing to get KU? Everything, just waiting now for AF to be gone.
Rants/Raves/CS: AF finally showed 2 days late. My cycle was 38 days, CD 25 was O last month (longest ever) so I am concerned that something is wrong.
GTKY: What is your favorite fall outfit to wear? I am so excited to be able to wear fall clothes. Thick socks, boots, leggings, and a comfy sweater!
CD: 90
What are you doing to get KU? Provera day 7, temping, charting, prenatal.
Rants/Raves/CS: Bad day. Still getting the run around trying to get to an RE. Also, WTF is up with the new "fertility myths" thread? Really BGs? You want is to discuss fertility myths? Ugh.
GTKY: T-shirt, hoodie, and jeans.
3/2015: Start TTC
8/2015: PCOS Dx
4/2016: BFP, Loss (4+5)
2/2017: BFP

GTKY: What is your favorite fall outfit to wear? Anything with a cardigan. Love them.. have many colors.

What are you doing to get KU? Everything!!!
Rants/Raves/CS: still no high temps, grrrr. It's weird because first month after mirena removal I had the textbook perfect cycle (27 days, noticeable ewcm, a clear temperature shift ). This chart month 2 is waaaay wonky!!
GTKY: What is your favorite fall outfit to wear? Hoodies!!! I look forward to casual Fridays at work solely for the hoodies.
