Next to The Sexy clothes. Who remembers that thread? Anyone?
This thread really happened?? OMG
Married: 8/29/2009 TTC- since we got married (off and on) TTC with focus: Since July 2015
Currently had 2 rounds of failed IUIs, failed TI monitored cycle December 2015: Starting 1st IVF cycle January 2016: Retrieval March 2016: Pending Transfer (I have 3 PGS tested embryos waiting for a womb) April 2016: BFP, the old fashioned way.
Also in addition to the info provided by all the pp's, maybe you should watch The Great Sperm Race documentary on YouTube. It will give you all the info and more than you'll ever need to know about sperm.
It's a little discouraging as a new member to see someone, who probably hasn't read 12+ books about TTC, ask a question and get the sarcastic comments you all have put out. I'm all for humor but some genuine advice is what I had hoped to find on the community boards.
Genuine advice does not mean Google substitute. In the time it would take to type the title of is post, she would have had an answer. In fact, this is the first link on google when you search "how long does sperm live inside you":
https://www.webmd.com/infertility-and-reproduction/guide/sperm-and-semen-faq
This is a place for discussion and learning, but a minimum level of knowledge is needed for an intelligent conversation.
Edited for quote.

Have you lurked this board at all? You should try lurking. Lurking is cool.

Yeah but who are you? I haven't read 12...just one (Taking Charge of Your Fertility) .
What exact do you need advice on? There is plenty of factual information available on the boards. We can't, in all rational sense & reasonable expectation, tell anyone how long it will take them to get pregnant. How long their husband's sperm actually survive in their unique body chemistry.
The question has been answered: around 5 days on average. Different sperm may have different viability.
I don't understand coming into a place you hoped to get support & calling us all bitches. I don't know about you, but I know I LOVE to be warm, welcoming & give support to someone whose only contribution to the board has been ugly. Do you want to be THAT poster?
Because I haven't see you actively giving support to anyone else. Or really any helpful advice. Shoot, you haven't even said very many nice things.
So excuse me if I'm not falling all over myself to roll out the red carpet when you grace is with your presence.

The advice is at the top of the page in the pinned posts. OP should have googled if she needed an answer like that, or lurked and actually joined the community. Same goes for you. Calling ladies on the TTC board was way uncalled for and an escalation that didn't need to happen. Join us and follow the rules/norms of the community, or search out somewhere else you like better.
I've only read one book about fertility, on the recommendation of the women here.
