Clearly TTC means different things to this group. I didn't know everyone was TTC for the first time. I thought the old wives tales would get a laugh or some silly advice, I guess not.
You guys fed the troll almost 400 notes she's got to be full by now.
So let's put it to bed.

This is a TTC board.. Although a few may have children, the majority of us do not. I would be ecstatic with a baby... Boy or girl. This might be better posted elsewhere.

Old wives tales are bullshit. You always have roughly a 50% chance of either sex.

Also, this is a trying to get pregnant board. Many of the women here are ttc their first. I recommend a different board for this topic.

Ditto to others... I suggest posting this question on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester boards. You'll get a better answer from the women who are pregnant already.

I have 2 boys. None of the old wives tales made a darn bit of difference.

And there goes my day... I haven't even been able to get pregnant yet let alone choose the sex of my future child. I just hope for the ability to actually conceive one day - boy or girl.

How about just trying for a happy healthy baby and being grateful for any sex you conceive when you actually get pregnant.

Not me. I've humped it out & true to the 50/50 stats I've got one of each. It truly is a coin toss, so trying to sway for one sex is really pointless.

Plus, it's a lot of work, yeah? I'm #TTCLAZY

Adoption would be the best bet unless you have Kimye money to do selective IVF.

Personally, I will be estastic for a healthy baby either boy or girl, when I do get pregnant.

Not going to lie, it's actually rude for you to come to a TTC board and ask how to have a specific child. ALL of us would be thrilled to have a baby (boy, girl, twins, etc) and could care less about what the sex of the baby is.

Like @TheBorg7of9 said, if you only want a boy, adopt.

It's luck of the draw, if you don't like the 50/50 odds, maybe you should rethink TTC. And seriously, this post makes me sick, as I would love just to have a baby, I don't care if it's a boy or a girl.

I would be over the moon to just get a BFP. To care/try to have one gender vs the other is just beyond my realm of thinking.
So do you "fail" if it's a girl??? Is that a bad thing!?!

Good gawd, I go to the beach for 3 flipping hours and come back to a madhouse on TB. Maybe if you "think positive" you will get the sex of your choice. Dunno...

Maybe if you walk in a circle 3 times clockwise and 3 times counterclockwise around a box full of kittens, then do a headstand for 30 minutes while chanting "boy, boy, boy" it will happen. 

Or it'll be a unicorn. You never know.

1) IVF with PGA/PGD genetic testing

2) Adoption
