So the doctor thinks im only 10 weeks pregnant but ive felt the baby kicken and i look about 4 months..still have morning sickness and still so tired had an internal scan a few weeks ago an measured jus 6 weeks but still feel like im further on any sugestions??
I would say at this point, the doctor is most likely correct. You can look bigger from bloating, and the kicks could actually just be gas. During my first pregnancy, I would be convinced at times that he was kicking. But, it was actually just gas. Once he really started kicking, I could clearly tell the difference. When did you get your positive pregnancy test? Or when was your last period?

Ultrasounds, especially that early on, are pretty good at correctly dating a pregnancy. You're probably very bloated, which is why you look further along. As far as kicks go, it's physically impossible to feel any flutters or kicks before 13 weeks. Even then, it's pretty uncommon for FTM to feel movement before 16-18 weeks. Doctors spent years getting educated on this stuff. Which means it's not likely that they'd be several weeks off on how far along you are. Especially after having the ultrasound.
ETA- The "kicks" you felt are gas. At 10 weeks, your baby's limbs aren't strong enough to produce any kicks strong enough for you to feel. I highly suggest you pick up a pregnancy book.
This is my 3rd baby i no what a babys kick feels like and my period was june 6th lasted 1 day and was very light the one before was the start of may..im jus soo confused ryt now.i bought a fetal heart monitor which says u cant use until 12 weeks but i can here babys heart up near my belly button.. :-/

Some women can pick up a Hb on a Doppler around 10 weeks. At the end of the day, there's no arguing with an ultrasound. If the ultrasound days you're X amount of weeks, then that's what you are. Unless you're charting and temping, there's no way to know when you ovulated, so using you LMP isn't very reliable. You probably ovulated later than "normal" which would explain why you're not as far along as you thought. If you're convinced your dr is an idiot who can't properly date a pregnancy, find yourself a new doctor. I'm not sure what else you expect anyone to say.

How could the doctor be wrong by 6 weeks if he used an ultrasound? There's a huge difference on ultrasound between a 6 week baby and a 12 week baby.
Ok i didn expect to be an idiot off...i had a scan which says i was 6 weeks then 2 weeks later i had a scan which said i was 9 so this week makes me 10 weeks yesterday i dont understand how it can jus jump a few weeks if the ultrasounds are supposed to so accurate.. both my children were small fr age wen born also were both only measuring 4lbs around 39 weeks and was induced with both incase of a risk to them n when they were born they were both over 6 lbs..so how can u all say ultrasounds are 100% accurate..
If you don't trust your doctor I would seek a second opinion. I thought I was further along at my first appointment too but it turns out I wasn't. While they don't usually skip weeks early scans can and do measure a few days early and late a lot. Dating ultrasounds are generally pretty accurate.
Okay I'm confused maybe it's just the way you are writing it,
You are saying you had an U/S at 6wks and 2wks later your baby was measuring 9wks at a separate U/S so you were measuring a week ahead of what you thought you were? Is that what you are asking? Maybe try and rephrase your question.

Yea thats exactly what im sayn..i also felt the baby kick today jus a tiny bit below my belly button and have felt it a few times now layn down..i have another scan on the 11th thats my actual dating scan..i had the other 2 because was admitted to hos with hg..
I am going to go against the grain and say you believe what you want girl! Who cares that your doctor is likely experienced and has had like 10 years of education. You do you.
Yeah, I go to doctors because I trust they know what's up better than I do. You may want to get a different doctor if you can't value this one's experience and expertise.

How far along do you think you are? Honestly it sounds like you should just find a new doctor, or else have your current dr sit down and explain things to you so that you're on the same page. You seem very confused which is making you give very confusing info to is following the thread.
A, Ultrasounds can figure out gestational age that early and will only be off + or -3 days. So the scanning and doctor would be correct on your gestational age. B, I do not believe you are feeling kicks, the fetus is way too small to feel and where you are claiming to feel it, by the belly button, isn't possible. Right now, the baby is located near your pelvis, not the belly button.
I think you're over thinking everything right now and need to trust your doctor or find a new one you will trust.
U know i actually didn realise so many people can be so nasty..i only wanted a little bit of support..this is my 1st time on this site and i thought i give it a try to see what advice i could get i didn come on here to be belittled by anyone..esp people who dont know a thing a bout me..i think if people found the time to take a little interest in other people things would be so much different.. im sorry for all u people who are being nasty u must have little to do also my sister was in the same position i am 4 years ago and ended up being 16 weeks wen doctor was tellin her she was 9.. so i quess ultrasounds can be rong..

These women who have commented are giving you advice. We did take time from our day to show you interest and give you input. It's obviously not the response you wanted. I'm guessing you wanted us to tell you that you're right and your doctor with multiple degrees and state of the art technology, is the one who is wrong. Obviously you didn't lurk properly before posting or your would have realized most women here believe in science and won't just fluff you up to make you feel better.
If you disagree with your doctor, get a second opinion. It's honestly as simple as that.

I think half the problem here is your difficulty communicating. I'm not trying to be mean, but if you tried to write in complete sentences with correctly spelled words, that would really help.

Are you sure you didn't hear your own heartbeat? And yes, I'm going to go ahead and side with the diagram that is based on FACTS and SCIENCE and not some rando on a forum who is having trouble understanding basic anatomy.

This is also my third baby. Having a larger uterus this time around does not mean I can feel a 1 ounce baby at 12 weeks.

The diagram is meant to represent the average location of the uterus. Most women have their uterus in the same approximate area. If you for some reason don't, then you should have pointed out that you have abnormalities to take into account. Stop getting upset that people are trying to give you advice when you asked for it. If you want to keep believing you're right, then stop asking for opinions/advice.
I only asked once i didnt keep asking and i dont see how my abnormalties are anyone elses busniess..
I think that if you're on here asking our advice but also stating that your uterus is obviously much higher than any of ours then you've made it our business. Edited for spelling.

Look @annieb28, all snark aside, if you're concerned about your doctor's dating - get a second opinion. You have gone through it before so I am sure you know that you have months ahead of you with this person and if you don't trust their opinion, you probably should seek an alternative option before you get too far along.
In all sincerity, best of luck to you throughout your pregnancy.
OP, no one here is being nasty towards you. No one is trying to make you out to be an idiot. Given the info you've provided, and your improper grammar, confusing info etc., you've made yourself seem very uneducated about pregnancy and how it works. That's not at all meant to be a jab at you, simply an opinion based on things you've said, and how you've presented yourself. Sure, every woman and every pregnancy is different, but that doesn't change scientific facts. You received some good feedback from myself and other posters. If you came here hoping for everyone to agree with you, then you came to the wrong place. I suggest you take some of the advice given to you, and get on the same page with your dr, or get a second opinion. Good luck and hopefully you get something figured out.
