Oh I am sorry to hear that. Unfortunately he will more than likely buy himself a 48 hour minimum hospital stay on IV antibiotics as fevers in infants under 6 weeks old can be serious
Stay positive and ask every question you can think of. Keep us updated.. We went through this last week and are still going through it. You're in our thoughts!
Lucas was just released from the hospital yesterday for a virus. It is awful but the best thing for them. Hang in there. Many positive prayers for him!
T&P for your little guy! He will be in great hands at the hospital, try to get some rest although I know that's pretty much impossible when your baby is sick.
When we got to the hospital his fever went up to 103 so they had to do a spinal tap on him to rule out meningitis. My poor baby was poked about 20 times. We still don't have any answers, but he's eating and his fever is down. I'm a wreck. He's so sweet and doesn't deserve this.
I went through this exact same thing with my daughter last week. I know it's scary! Sending thoughts and prayers for you guys!!! Luckily, the spinal tap isn't as bad for babies as it is for adults, or so I was told. Keep us updated on your lil man!
Camden's fever is up and down but he's eating, pooping, and peeing so that's a good sign. He's moaning in discomfort though his is making me so upset. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day!
So sorry to see this . We had to make a trip to the ER the day after we brought LO home because he hadn't wet a diaper in over 24 hours. DH and I were terrified so I can relate a bit even though what you are dealing with is 100x scarier. Sending lots of T&P your way.
Re: Scared :(
Still sending prayers!
