My (non-nestie) pregnant friend wants my opinion on her girl name choice...

Piper

I LOVE piper personally but the reason shes going back & forth is because her last name is Potter.

Sooooo - what do you think:

Piper Nicole Potter?

Her siblings name is Rory - and Piper & Rory is adorable imo. Thoughts?

I think it's a very cute name, but I think it does seem a little um, "unique" for the last name. But if nothing else, it's an easy name to remember!

It makes me think of a story book character.  I like it but she will def have to have a big personality to pull it off.

I LOVE the name Piper too, but my husband doesn't like it with our last name...'Paul'. I understand. Now, if you say Piper Nicole Potter that flows well.

I really love Piper. But when I see Piper Potter, it makes me think of an eccentric Harry Potter character. It's also alot of P's.

ADORABLE name but I dont think it sounds good with their last name. My maiden name is Keller, so I am sensitive to those kinds of name combinations!

I love it, all of it! I wouldn't avoid a name bc it may remind some people of a movie.  When the baby comes it will own it with it's own personality!  Just my opinion!

I would normally like that name... but I don't think Piper Potter would be that great of an idea.

Piper is cute...but not with Potter.

I know everyone gets teased in school at some point but that's just asking for it. Why set your kid up to be teased...I was teased throughout my school years for my first and last name being a popular song (not intended on my moms part-just happened that way) But it became very old getting it sung to me every single day in middle school to the point I wanted to change it.

I LOVE Piper, but with your last name it does sound a little goofy to me... but I just love the name so much I might be willing to overlook that if I were in your shoes... what about Harper?  I couldn't get DH to come around on Piper, but he agreed to Harper!

This is exactly what I though...I really liked the names Ave and Eva, but DH's last name is Ev            .  So it just wouldn't work for us having that matching sound.  I feel the same way about this.
