10 crazy "word" names....

Here you go ladies.
This article popped up in my news feed on FB today from a local news station, and I instantly knew you ladies would love (or actually HATE) it! Some of these names people come up with on here are horrible, but 10x better than any of these on this list!

Re: 10 crazy "word" names....

  • I saw this. Sometimes people don't like my names that I have come up with but looking at this list makes my list look pretty damn good.

  • Oh, the humanity.
  • I have met a Captain. I thought they were kidding like when my Ds1 wanted to be called Hulk. But nope the nurse called Captain backed. Everyone in the waiting room was bug eyed and it was the talk for the next 10 minutes.

  • I blame the show Mistresses for "Savvy" but the character's name is Savannah and she goes by Savvy.
Yeah, Eliminate? That can't be right.
  • Lol. Last year we had a Majesty and a Magic in class. This year it's Vanity and Harmony. Not quite as bad as most on that list. Eliminate is just bad.
  • Boss makes me chuckle.

I was at our county fair and a lady was yelling at her daughter named "Harmony". I turned to my DH and was like "why would you give your sweet daughter a stripper name?" The lady def heard me. Whoops. Sorry not sorry.

Edit: because I forgot how sentences work.
  • Oh man. I hate to admit this...but I might be one of these crazy people. We are genuinely considering using Captain as a middle name for our son. I know it's ridiculous...but we jokingly nicknamed him Captain as soon as I got pregnant, and it has really stuck. Everyone is already calling him Captain. At least it won't be his first name right?

Go ahead, tear me a new one. Is it really THAT awful? I feel like the others on the list are worse...

I feel like it's kinda like Danger as a middle name and to just hear it I would think the parents were trying to be cool

    It's pretty awful. Sorry.

At least it's the middle name, but then two generations from now, someone is going to be "It's a family name, my great grandfathers middle name was Captian"

I personally think MNs are for honorary names (family etc) or for fun. I prefer honorary ones, but I mean how many people do you even know their mn? It seems like it's usually just used for your initials and a cute baby book entry about why M&D picked it - in which case you have a cute reason to put down. It's not always a popular opinion here, but hey, that happens.

It's really that awful... Lol just use it as a nick name! It doesn't have to be a part of his name to be a nick name. My husbands nick name in HS was tugboat, which (thank god) is not part of his name. I think it makes a great nick name and you already have a story for it so it's not like it came out of no where. Just my opinion :)
