is anyone delivering at St. Vincent's? If so have you looked at the l&d area yet? And how has your experience been so far?

I'm delivering at St. Vincent's, but haven't gotten my tour yet. I started a class last Monday and this Monday we're suppose to tour the facilities. However, it seems rather clean and the staff seem very wonderful as far as what and whom I've encountered.

Do you know when they give the tours? I'm at Birmingham OBGYN at St Vincent's and I was curious if I have to request a tour or joins. Class in order to do the tour...

You have to call the hospital. I don't have the number off the top of my head but I believe there's the 1-800-Dial A Nurse. Or just go to St. Vincent's website. They sat up a gift of motherhood class for me which was very informative and helpful as well as giving a tour of the hospital/birthing suites.

I am a FTM and delivered at St Vincent's Birmingham in August, I had a wonderful experience. The nurses were so so helpful.
I also recommend doing monogram maternity, in the women's and children's building and setting up your birthing plan. When you make your appointment to do this, you will tour l&d. I at first thought monogram maternity was some kind of embroidery thing hence the name, but it's actually just for setting up your birth plan, and I also met with the lactation nurse.

And you get a free gym membership to the St Vincent's 119 gym while pregnant. Wish I would have done it earlier in my pregnancy lol
