Moving rant

so we planned to move out of my father in laws house the beginning of this month. We found the perfect house, gave our deposit and anticipated moving in on the first. A week before moving in I asked if I could go look at it to see what I needed to buy for the house, and while there we found disgusting roaches(which we didn't see the first time we went to see it). We talked to the landlord who said he would figure it out and let us know what was going on( that was the 23rd of July) it's now the 11th of August and have since then decided that we don't want it because of those disgusting things and the landlord has not attempted to call us back. My husband has been calling every day and leaving messages. I'm 33 weeks on Thursday and am so fed up!!! We want our $850 back, so we can get what we need for baby!!! I'm so angry and frustrated and we don't know what to do!!!!

Does the landlord have an office you could go to? Sometimes showing up in person is more effective than phone calls. If you still get no response I would look to see if there is a housing authority or office of some type that can help you get your money back. Your situation sounds very frustrating!

Sometimes the city will help you out with this. There should be someone to contact regarding issues with landlords.
