My DS is Brayden, which I know gets a lot of hate here. But when his dad and I picked the name eight years ago, we had no idea that it was "trendy". I only knew one other person with the name at the time, a coworker who was my age. And I wasn't on the bump so I had no idea how hated the name was.
Fast forward to today, I am remarried and TTC, and my taste in names has changed. I do still love the name Brayden, and I couldn't imagine my son as anything else, but I do tend to dislike a lot of the trendy/made-up/young-sounding names now. I'm wondering how I am going to find a name that I like that will "go with" Brayden.
Boy names seem easier. I like Owen, Ethan, Cameron. I don't think any of those are trendy, but they don't sound bad with Brayden, do they?
Girl names are harder. Names I like are Nora, Ava, Emma. I know these are popular, but I think they sound too classic to go with a Brayden.
Would love to hear your honest thoughts or suggestions. Obviously I have plenty of time, but I'm always looking for names.
