DH and I have very different naming styles. I tend to prefer more common, traditional names. He leans heavily toward unique and trendy names. We've always had a hard time agreeing because he thinks my names are boring and I think his are too trendy. Our two sons are Carson and Dylan. Carson is after my grandfather so it was very meaningful for me and was trendy enough for him. Dylan was another compromise because he loved the name and I felt it was the only good and solid and not too unique/trendy from his list. So, I need help with some suggestions that blend our naming styles, because this time around we are really stuck on even coming up with ideas we both would consider. I think we need something classic, but not too popular? He loves the unisex/boy name for girl trend. I don't hate that trend, but I already have two boys so I would prefer a name people would understand right away that this is a girl. He doesn't like overly long or feminine names. To give you an idea, here are a few names from each of our lists:
ME:
Henry
Caleb
Samuel
Drew
Mia
Claire
Noelle
Elise
DH (these are just the ones I wrote down because many were too unique for me to even add to our list):
Devon (boy)
Alek
August
Theo
Kendall (girl)
Reese (girl)
Quinn (girl)
Our compromise list - neither of us are crazy about these:
Adeline (except we have 2 Madeline's in the fam)
Maya
Silas
Shane
