Hello everyone!
I have been doing a lot of reading about "Intercourse Timing" after the HCG Shot and I guess am still am overwhelmed.
I had one 22mm follicle and my Dr. gave me HCG shot Monday at 5pm with instructions to BD Monday night and the next two nights. So we BD at Hour 4, Hour 24 and Hour 36. I guess my question is should we "keep going." I know it won't "hurt" to do it, but I am always fearful since I don't know what ovulation feels like (have had abnormal periods all my life) that we are off on our timing if ovulation occurs sometimes closer to the 36 hour for some people (I have been reading).
I have also been still getting strong lines on my OPK - does the shot effect these tests?
Thank you for your insight - don't know what I would do without this board!!!
Thank you!

Re: HCG Trigger Shot - Intercourse Timing
Remember that sperm should arrive before ovulation because it takes up to 10 or more hours for capacitation to occur. A newly introduced sperm can't fertilize an egg until this happens. Then they can hang around for several days in the fallopian tubes. That means you have more than enough 'coverage' with the schedule that your RE gave you. So, you have nothing to worry about concerning 'missing' ovulation but if you're feeling nervous, go ahead and BD again after 36 as well if you're up to it.
Don't psych yourself out... just have fun! :-)
