Bringing Lunch to work with GERD

hi all! I have had terrible acid reflux since I was 16, and for most of my life I would bring a plain turkey sandwich or a PB&J to my office job for lunch. Now the turkey is out (the idea of heating it up has been grossing me out since BFP) and I feel like PB&J doesn't have enough nutrients. Any suggestions of a reflux friendly bag lunch? I have a fridge and microwave I can use at the office, and this early on my only food aversion is hot deli meat.

  • Hummus is yummy and great on all kinds of vegi's. It's made from chickpeas and has is a decent source of protein. Try to find some that if not flavored with garlic or spices though due to the acid reflex. It has become one of my favorite snacks. I also love to buy a rotisserie chicken and make sandwiches out of the chicken. Add a little avocado and yum yum.
