We are having a really hard time coming up with girl names this time around. My husband really likes the idea of a boyish name on a girl, but I don't really love that idea --and I know everyone here doesn't either.
Our compromise is a girl name that has a boy nickname that way she has a girl name, but my husband can use the nickname if he wants. I feel like there are more names out there, I just can't think of them.
Our front runners are Charlotte (Charlie) or Aurora (Rory) but we aren't sold on either one.
Other examples that we can't use but follow the same lines are Alexandra (Alex), Andrea (Andi), or Christine (Chris).
Our daughter didn't have a name for 2 days because we just couldn't decide and at this rate we are heading down the same road.
I love Frances / Francis!!!! The perfect unisex names ever.

Love Georgie, Teddy, and Frankie (mostly because they remind me of the show Sisters). The full names for each are so gorgeous and feminine, and chances are your daughter will be excited to go by one as she grows up.

I would use the name Henrietta in a heartbeat, but we already have a Henry in the family
I don't know why I didn't think of Joey/ Jo as a nickname for Josephine.
And I kind of love the nickname Frankie for a girl now that I hear it.
I like Frances as well with Frankie as a nn...Frances can also age well for when she's older and maybe doesn't want to be called Frankie anymore.
Charlize nn Charlie
Samantha nn Sam/Sammy
Georgia nn Georgie
Matilda nn Mattie
