So how did everyone meet their SO?

I was at a pool party (kinda tipsy) saw him sitting in a chair by himself so i walked up to him asked him if he wanted to see my doughnut and squeezed my fat together to make a doughnut and the rest is history lol.

Ha! We met working together. I was a little forward and said I'd text him later so we could hang out after we'd flirted a little during the day. I didn't have his number but I snuck into the work files to get it. I was really bad lol. Going on 8 years and second kid now ;;)

We went to HS together but never dated then.  It was a few years after HS that we reconnected on Myspace and Instant Messenger, (I can't believe it was that long ago).  We hung out a few times and then he asked me to be his gf.  We have been together for 10 years this October and married for 2, this August.

I love this!! Hubby and I met on MySpace back in 2006. We were both going through a divorce and had just created our pages. He sent me a message and the next day we chatted, exchanged numbers and met for a drink. We've been inseparable since and these are our first children together.

We met playing bingo at a bar. My friends and I gave him and his friends a ride afterwards. We all ending up swimming in our underwear at our apt complex pool. Super classy, I know. He couldn't resist my polka dot granny panties.

Love this! I was working as an EMT and he was a cop for the city, we met at a call for a vehicle accident (nothing serious) after taking our patient to the thehospital he was there too, to get the police report. We ended up talking and the rest is history!

We lived on the same floor in our Freshman dorm. I knew his roommate, but not him. A couple weeks into the year, I had to read a book for class, but my roommates were being too loud, so I asked my friend if I could read on his roommate's bed while he was out. DH came back to his room all sweaty and sexy in his underarmour after playing soccer (he had a ponytail at the time too, which alas he cut senior year while job searching) to find a girl in his bed!

World's longest one night stand! Met at a party, and went out to breakfast the next morning...started dating on the spot, 6 years ago and been married 3.5 years, expecting our first. It really does happen (although I wouldn't have believed it if it hadn't happened to me ).

Met him through a mutual friend in a group setting. We all decided to head out to the bar and I was getting myself a drink and he told me he'd buy it. I knew he wasn't offering because he wanted to get in my pants. He was just offering because he's a genuinely nice guy.

I couldn't stop thinking about him so I found him on FB and messaged him and said I would love to hang out with him. He said "Oh yeah, come out with us anytime!" And I said "I kind of meant I would like to spend time with you."

I was VERY forward. I knew I wanted him within two hours of meeting him.

Mush time: I looked into his eyes (at a FREAKING BAR - I hate bars. Never really liked hanging out in them) and I saw someone who was just as giving and caring as me.

Hung out in a group setting once more and then he asked me on our first date. We shot guns (my first time) and went to dinner - where I laughed like a hyena the entire time. Boy, did it feel good to laugh like that.

I love him so much. Ahhhhh!

I used to bartend for a fine dining restaurant. One night the other ladies I worked with and I downloaded the tinder app just for giggles. We were laughing and having a good time because we saw a lot of our regulars pop up. I swiped right for my SO and we began talking that night and never stopped. We went on our first date a month later. We became an official couple a month after that. Now we have been together for 2.5 years. What started out as a joke ended up being my everything

Awww love it! We met in 2010 at our friend's wedding (both in the wedding) as the token (happy) singles. We were definitely not looking for love but it found us! We danced all night, parted ways the next day to separate states. Then 3 weeks later we signed a lease on a condo, moved in together and a year later were engaged, less than a year after that were married! The only thing we waited to do was have babies lol!

In a bar. I had just had my heart broken by my ex and was drunkenly dancing to Beyoncé Single Ladies with my girl friends. I was really feeling those lyrics. Well I guess he couldn't resist my sick moves and when we finally sat down he came over and started talking to me. The rest is history. Very romantic I know. He is my lobster and he eventually put a ring on it. Needless to say we jammed to Single Ladies at our wedding.

DH and I met at a frat party on a college vacation weekend in our state's lake resort town - also classy. We went to opposing schools across state (which in WA is a big deal, and a 5 hour drive between schools). I was a bit intoxicated and there was this girl there who swore she didn't know what "spooning" was, so me and DH demonstrated on the couch. Apparently I gave him my number, but proceeded to blow him off every time he called (I mean, he was 5 hours away. Why was he wasting his time?) until one afternoon I was so bored that I talked to him for 3 hours. My roommate and I joked that he was my "phone boyfriend" from then on because we talked a few times a week until summer break. Turned out, he was moving to Seattle for the summer to recruit for his frat, so the rest is history. We long distance dated for a year, he did his senior year of college online in Seattle, then he moved here permanently and we've been together 7 years, married for 2!

Im going to say something personal (please dont judge)

Im a recovering alcoholic (sober over a year now) and i look back at when i was drinking and feel nothing but shame however meeting my DH changed me he made me want to better myself and when i went through withdrawls and started having seizures he never left my side. He made me realize i have way to much to live for (our kids him and my family) im so thankful for him everyday. I need to get a tissue now (

I was working a host shift at a restaurant and he came in for a job interview. We saw each other and it was like some unbelievable type of thing that you see in a sappy romance movie. It was an instant pull to each other. The feeling was really indescribable.
He started working there and from day one he was asking me to go hang out with him after work. I kept telling him no, I was still together (though on the rocks) with my HS sweetheart, but he was persistent.
Finally 45 days after we met, I realized that HS guy wasn't right for me and that there had to be some reason that I felt the way I did about DH. I offered him a ride home after work and we've been together ever since, 9 years later.

We both always had our noses stuck in our books(competitive students) and a mutual friend invited the two of us to go rock climbing. She failed to show up, so the two of us went rock climbing together. The rest is history :x

That is an amazing story! Good for you for staying sober, and for connecting with someone who won't leave your side.

LOL I leave that part out too. But I should say that he still stuck around after he discovered I had a cat and a box of Swiss Cake Rolls in my bed and my best friend ID'd and questioned him. It was mostly innocent but still. We dated for a bit and then I dumped him when my ex came crawling back. Then got back together with DH when ex dumped me again. I put him through a lot but he knew we were meant to be together from the start and waited for me to come around. I look at my DD now and think of how lucky I am for that heartbreak and for my patient DH. ;;)

We met on Match! I was persistent and winked at him several times before he responded. We had a wonderful conversation on the phone after several email exchanges. A few days after the phone call, I texted him saying I enjoyed our conversation but didn't get a response. After a day or two he emailed me telling me he had actually just started dating someone and wanted to see where it went - honesty which I truly appreciated. It would have been so easy for him to be dating several people at once. I emailed him back and told him that I appreciated his honesty and if it didn't work out to contact me! Two months later (and days before my subscription to match was to run out) he emailed me and asked if I was still single. We went out on a date a week later and have now been together for almost 6 years, married for 3, and expecting number 2!

I met DH my freshman year in college-I was actually "taking to" his roommate! I went to their apartment after basketball practice (no AC in the gym-I smelled awesome.) and DH was on the couch playing video games with his friends. I remember thinking his was cute but that I had NO SHOT since I looked so gross from practice. Apparently when I left, he told his friends that he called "dibs on the athletic girl" :-) I told the roommate it wasn't going to work out, started running with DH, and the rest is history! We've been together almost 8 years and married for 3 and a half!
