I'm a SAHM/ part time cake decorator. I get to work at 3 am, bust out cakes until 7 am, and then get home so my husband can leave for work while I take care of DS.
I was a business analyst but the army moved us, so about the time I was narrowing down some job leads we got preggo. We had planned on me being a SAHM for a bit, so I'm just at home now. It's not ideal, I'm bored and we could use the extra cash but we are moving again within the year, so just going with it!
@SummerOH haha yes well I know my fair share about actual labor and delivery but being a FTM I feel like I am actually pretty clueless about the beginning parts of pregnancy! This board has been so great, especially being PGAL.

@katharinerisk That is so cool...I've always wondered about cake decorating. I LOVE to bake, but I suck at the decorating part. Did you take classes or how did you get into that? Just out of curiosity!
@JandJ62914 it's great! I hate waking up at that hour but I always enjoy it once I'm there. I went to culinary school and majored in Pastry Arts. It was mostly baking, so I interned at the school as a decorator on site and learned while I worked!
I did environmental consulting for industrial land reclamation but am now taking a 2 year break because we are overseas for my husbands work, perfect time to start our family!
I'm a computer repair technician. I just graduated with my BS in information technology management a couple weeks before we found out about LO I'll be looking for a work from home IT position after my leave so I will be a SAHM hybrid lol.
SAHM! I worked in escrow since I was 18, was an escrow officer then started my own signing business. I miss escrow so much, but it's incredibly stressful. That's why I switched to signing... That and I hate short sales lol.
After this little one turns 1, I plan on going to grad school for speech pathology.
I also own a vintage styling/wedding planning business with my sister. We are in the process of finishing out a few projects then we are done. We have weddings just about every single weekend and that's our family time... I'm just very over weddings.
I work in the kitchen at a local hospital. I did also work at a grocery store as well back gave that job up since i love my hospital job and get more hours there. I will be going back to school in september to finish my health infomation management degree.
I am a sort-of-part-time pharmacy technician. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in chemistry this past December and went down to working one weekend a month, while I started to look for a new job, in March. I was hoping for something in a laboratory setting relating to quantitative analytical chemistry or QC in the pharmaceutical industry. We were planning on me maybe working for a year or two, then maybe trying for a family and had talked briefly about me being a SAHM. I found out (happy surprise) that I was pregnant in April. So, plans have changed a little and I now just work at my pharmacy as needed if someone calls out or goes on vacation. Otherwise, I am a stay at home person. It has been a welcome change of pace since I worked nearly full time hours while I was studying like mad and working crazy hard in school. We will see how the next few years go, but I'm thinking about possibly a masters or PhD program eventually, for when/if I decide to work on a more full time basis.
Former high school and middle school social studies teacher. Historical tour guide and cheer coach. I stay at home now but I'm thinking of getting my real estate license before this LO comes.
