I feel so honored to have caught this first. I'm typing as fast as my little fingers can take me, because I don't want someone to have commented before me.
Of course, my fingers are tired, because I have spent all week fisting myself! Samesies! So glad you decided to share, because I have been asking everyone I know if they are doing this - and no one is returning my calls.
I just want to warn you of something. While fisting, it's very possible to punch your baby. I would hate for you to cause harm to your child!!! I urge you to start slow, feel around a little bit before inserting an entire fist. It's not worth causing your baby brain damage!!!!

I try to work on myself but my arms just aren't long enough!! We ordered a foster off Amazon though. Can't wait for it to come in!!
My midwife recommended it, too! It took a couple days to convince DH but he's totally into it and we totally trust each other so it seems to be working. My midwife asks me at every appointment how we are doing!!!

I know my body pretty well and I can feel where the baby is. So we just wait until it moves into the top of my uterus to start.
We tried a bowling pin, but then I was afraid I might lose my grip on it since there is so much more room down there now. Since I'm getting so much more loosened up DH has been resorting to anal so he doesn't feel inadequate
My doula suggested this same thing! I've been too shy to ask any of my "real life" friends about this. My husband was skeptical at first, but I've convinced him of the benefits. The doula also suggested using coconut oil to help lubricate. We haven't gotten very far yet. Like you, we have a long way to go. Another concern - hubs travels for work some weeks. I hate to lose all our progress by not stretching for 4-5 days at a time - I know these exercises will be most effective if done daily. However, I can't seem to get the right angle to stretch myself. @kristen2b and @angetralala, any suggestions for positions when I have to go solo?
As you posted this, I just had the best orgasm due to fisting! As a FTM I want to fully prepare my body for a natural childbirth! Not only is it doctor recommended, but my boyfriend really loves it!
@spottedginger it really helps if you're double-jointed. I should have mentioned this. If not, head to the mall and see if there are any stores you frequent that have extra mannequins laying around.
I think you all are being extremely reckless!!!! Do you understand that the baby can slide down and get punched?! Or worse, fisting could cause your baby to fall out way too early!!! You all are ignorant and don't love your baby!
@kristen2b thank you so much for posting this, I have been too shy to ask anyone about this!! "> :-SS I have a couple of questions; did it hurt? how much lube would you recommend?
DH and I have wanted to explore this option after we got comfortable with anal. I think that this will really help prepare me for the birthing experience!
As a fisting newbie, what's the best lube? Would you recommend olive oil? I'm so afraid of labor pains, I want the baby to shoot out like it's going down a water slide!!
But you are literally making my vagina clench by the nature of your thread. I simply can't ignore someone who would punch their baby just to make it easier to give birth! How selfish are you!

It's no different than riding a roller coaster, which my OB told me I could do so safely.
I don't know what to think about this but I am curious if you do this for the next 20 weeks are you not concerned about how stretched out you will be permanently?

This 1000 times! You all need to be careful! First of all, my midwife and Doula both recommend grapeseed oil for lubrication while trying to fist. Second of all, it's true that the baby can get punched! It's important for you not to fist yourself. You need to have your partner do it! Unless, of course, you're double-jointed. Another very good alternative is to have a pelvic floor massage where you have a therapist do it. They're trained professionally and this and there would be very little risk to baby.
@elizabella85 I love the coconut oil. It is organic and all natural. You don't know what kind of dangerous chemicals are in synthetic lubes. Olive oil is my second choice - I tend to get hungry smelling the olive oil as it heats up and then I have to snack immediately, which kills the mood.

Thank you! That's great information!
You're right, I might seriously get hungry smelling the olive oil. It makes me want Italian bread and roasted garlic, then maybe some cheesecake. Yum!!! Coconut oil FTW!
THANK YOU @BostonBaby1 for having the voice of reason!!!! I bet half of you aren't even pregnant!!! I feel sorry for your "baby."
Oh… I'm not pregnant. We all know that though. I'm just getting prepared for when I am hopefully again one day. It's very important to stretch the birth canal prior to labor! Also, I would not want to stranger to feel sorry for my SO or "child." ;-)
I wasn't talking about you because you agreed with me!!! I only insult people that don't see things my way. I actually quite love you. If you're ever in the Midwest please look me up.
Wait a minute....this whole time I've been the one fisting my husband. I had it backwards, damn it. He's gonna be so pissed.
Oh my gosh!!! I hope you've been using grapeseed oil? That's supposed to be the best. Hopefully he won't be too mad because his rectum should be nice and soft. Also, his bowel movements should come out easier.
I've heard of this but am terrified to try. Not only would I be worried about DH hurting me/baby but I just can't imagine sex after. Second time moms, was your tearing less after fisting?
I think this has derailed a little bit, I'm being 100% serious and I was trying to help some of you ladies get ready for birth. No need to make a joke out of it.
I've been thinking about trying because I really don't want to tear but am afraid it will hurt! Are there any numbing creams that are pregnancy approved?
