At least you girls are planning on eating healthy. I have no plans to start anytime soon. In fact I just texted DH and asked him to pick me up a pint of Ben and Jerry's half baked. I'll probably eat the whole thing in one sitting which I know isn't healthy but right now I can't work up the energy to care....
I lost 30 lbs before my wedding doing Isagenix. I've tried to get back on track with it again to lose some baby weight. I succeed at breakfast but by the time lunch comes around.... well, you guys know the drill.
It's a 9 day or 30 day cleanse / body reset. I've only done the 9 day and I lost 15 lbs when I did it. You still get 1 500 calorie meal a day except a few days where you only drink their juice. You drink a shake twice a day. I think that was all. It's been awhile since I completed it.
@klkonwi it's essentially a diet that does a shake for breakfast, shake for lunch and sensible dinner. In addition to the shakes they have you do 2 two day long "cleanses" a month. The cleanses arent pooping cleanses lol it's a berry drink that you have throughout the 2 days. It really wasn't a SUPER hard diet but the cleanse days made me sad to have no food and the shake days were really only successful when i was eating clean (ie no sugars, no alcohol, no fun...). When i followed it hardcore, i lost 13 lbs the first month (with 11lbs being in the first 2 weeks).
I'm trying to channel motivation looking at my old before and after pictures. However, the no alcohol is practically a deal breaker right now. I spent the better half of the year not being able to enjoy cocktails, why would i voluntarily do that again?
When you did the isagenix did you gain all the weight back when you stopped the shakes? I feel like that's what would happen to me. Pizza, beer, and burgers just taste too good.
so i only ever get on my phone app but it will no longer post or love anything so this poster has become a lurker. miss you ladies and mostly posting wed hump days

I hate to say it but i did gain it all back pretty quickly . If I had stuck with eating clean without the shakes, I probably would have kept it off. My honeymoon was the ultimate "fuck you" to pre wedding dieting. I drank all the funnest frozen cocktails and ate dessert after pretty much every meal. I probably gained at least 10 lbs in those 10 days. The month following the wedding I quit smoking. That was probably another 10 lb gain. Annnnnd then the next month I found out I was pregnant which was the green light to EAT ALL THE THINGS!!
We had a rough weekend so last night I elected to cook frozen apps for dinner - mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, buffalo chicken turnovers and potato skins. Screw you, Sunday nights! DH was 100% on board, we are bad for each others diets
I've been promising myself to get back on the health wagon too...I lost 2 dress sizes doing p90x before getting pregnant. I would love to have the time and motivation to start up again...the healthy eating usually follows the high of energy that comes from working out...one day...but until then I will continue to binge on crap in the fleeting moments where I am able to eat during the day.
Meh, I am working out a lot and still eating like crap. I wish healthy eating followed but not in my case. Breastfeeding is my excuse to eat buckets of Halloween candy and huge portions. When I stop nursing I am going to be in trouble. These are hard habits to break.

And this is what is making me want to go ahead and try to BF for a year instead of 6 months which was my original goal. Not for the health of my child, but so I can continue to eat all the chocolate...
Awww, love it! Its so hard to get rid of all the cute clothes that they grow out of so fast. Though LO already has 2 quilts from grandma, so a 3rd might be overkill... Clothes might be better used as give-a-ways.

Yep. If I'm nursing until this kid is 5, it's for that reason. Have pretty much been uncontrolled eating since I got KU and really don't know how I'm going to break the habits.

On purpose?! WTAF. Kick him out. Unacceptable. Am I'm a crazy Family First nutso, but that's unacceptable.
Ladies, I don't know where to put this, so forgive me if I'm in the wrong place. My 9 year old dog is having surgery tomorrow for some warts(I don't know how to spell the name Pamplona?) he got from MILs puppy. I'm not placing blame, but it is what it is, he is not around other dogs and she got it from puppy daycare. I am so worried about him going under and not waking up tomorrow! He has been there for years before DH and then he is my stable when DH is deployed. I know he should be fine. That's my random, emotional outburst for today!

This is probably a papilloma, and if it is viral (which your dog getting from a puppy would suggest), would likely go away on its own and not need surgery unless it is interfering with everyday function, like eating or walking (since they are common in the mouth and on feet). But regardless, some people DO need to have them removed surgically for whatever reason. Its generally a very quick procedure, and rest assured that the dog is hooked up to all the machines you see people hooked up to for surgery (pulse ox, heart rate monitor, blood pressure monitor, etc), along with a nurse assisting the Dr and observing the dogs color and manually checking the respiration and heart rate, etc. And last but not least, they're just warts. Should your dog begin to do poorly under anesthesia, they'll just stop what they're doing and wake him up. And he'll go home with warts still, no big.
@klkonwi my medical assistant thinks it's totally ok to come in to my office and tell me about patients while I'm pumping. I'm like alright. Awkward. I'm sure it's more accepting in L&D!
So we've been at grandmas and this morning we found out she broke a CFL bulb (the ones with mercury) and did the exact opposite of what you are supposed to do... She didn't open a window, she vacuumed and then the bulb sat in the garbage all night kind of freaking. I know it's not a lot of mercury but most things say the exposure to young babies does have the potential to be harmful... Anyways had to share. Nothing to be done now I guess and hope it didn't hurt his little brain at all.
Edited to say I realize now my one Mercury filling is more of an issue... Not really a comfort, ha!

That sounds delicious!! The only thing keeping me from eating that way every night is the fear of gas pains. About 8 weeks postpartum I had alfredo from Carrabas and about an hour later had gas pains so terrible that I was sobbing (I never cry) and seriously contemplated calling an ambulance. I thought I was gonna die. The only reason I didn't call was that I just knew they would be rolling their eyes at having to drive out for that reason. They finally went away after a few hours. So anyways, I thought that episode was a fluke until a couple weeks later when I had the same thing happen after eating a couple slices of pizza. Now I'm terrified to eat anything with cheese or a lot of cream. Thankfully this means I've been eating a lot healthier and have lost pretty much all of my pregnancy weight. But I don't get to enjoy any of my favorite foods.
Heh meanwhile I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror at work yesterday and I straight up look preggers. Gah, I was never that person that cared about this stuff but I think I need to maybe try to be a little more healthy, since I am not exercising whatsoever!
Dear Sweet baby J, please give me the strength and patience to deal with my dog that suddenly forgot all of his commands and has given me high blood pressure today, at 8:30am. Amen
**in no way is this meant to be offensive to anyone. It just is what it is.
@alcrimmins our 2 big dogs became outside dogs when the baby came! It's my husbands job to put them in our huge fenced in back yard every morning (it's not attached to the house). They are too much to handle by myself during the day.
Anyone else have/had one of these babies? I feel like I talk about the struggles we've had with other parents and they just don't believe or really understand the intensity of this kid.

Why is eating candy so fun??!

He should be fine. Try not to worry, doggy mama
If you make me stay up after a night shift to go to a dumb meeting then be prepared to hear my pump.
