Mine is next Friday, also. I'm very excited to see my little peanut again but very nervous. I cannot believe I'm almost half way through this pregnancy, it's going so fast and I'm not sure how to feel about that
I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow and my ultrasound is on Friday! We're super excited to find out the gender [although we're actually going to wait a bit longer in order to be surprised at my gender reveal party next month]. I just hope the little one cooperates so our doctor can identify the gender [and so I can actually HAVE a gender reveal party].
Had ours on Monday!! So far all green lights!!! Have to go back in 3 weeks cuz she didn't get good enough pictures of baby's heart/spine, though what she saw, she sees no issue with!!! Should get blood work back by next week!!!
Had mine 7/9/15 @ 19 weeks exactly. My perinatologist was particularly looking for any heart defects and abnormalities in the kidneys or urinary tract--my little girl has a single umbilical artery (SUA; aka "two-vessel cord) and this abnormality has been correlated with abnormalities in these two organ systems. They did the fetal echo in conjunction with the anatomy scan and my perinatologist said everything looked great. This was my main concern so I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted. I was on the US table for over two hours so that she could get sonogram "video" of the heart and look at the kidneys more in depth too so it was definitely my longest US to date. We knew the sex was a girl from a prior 15w scan but it was confirmed again. She is measuring in the 33rd percentile, and we conceived 10 days after my last period, not 14, so she is actually likely a bit smaller. This is par for the course for SUA babies so my OB has already informed me we will be getting serial growth scans from here on out, Doppler velocimetry at each visit, as well as NST's weekly or twice weekly starting at 32 weeks (much earlier if she declines in growth percentile). SUA babies--mine LO's is "isolated", meaning it is not associated with a chromosomal abnormality or a organ defect--are at a significantly higher risk for IUGR and even stillbirth, thus the very close monitoring. If she drops below the 10th percentile in terms of growth it will be time to consider delivering via c-section since this would indicate she isn't getting the nutrients she needs due to the cord abnormality and would be "better out than in." My OB said he would likely not let her go past 37 weeks, so my little one could arrive closer to mid-November as opposed to closer to her due date of 12/3. Just seeing a beating 4-chambered heart that is structurally and functionally normal, two kidneys and a normal urinary tract just made my month. Literally.
Had mine on Monday, baby is a little girl :x :x, and super healthy and has great measurements. my boyfriend and I are so excited. I knew baby was a girl since the day I peed on the stick... My boyfriend didn't believe me... Haha
Had my anatomy this morning and was extremely relieved to see him look so handsome and healthy thank God. I was also very nervous last night especially since I didn't start feeling him kick until a couple days ago. It turns out my placenta implanted on top therefore baby has to kick through it for me to feel it. I am now going relax and enjoying the last half of my pregnancy. I couldn't be happier.
Well today was my anatomy scan and I wasn't given too much information since at my office they like the Drs to look at the pictures first. I do have to go back on Monday since my LO was being stubborn and we couldn't get a head measurement. Also the tech did write down the sex for us and we are dropping it off at the bakery to be surprised next weekend!
Mine isn't until August 5th!!! I'm so excited....time isn't moving fast enough to find out lol
Mine is August5th too!!! Its less then 3weeks now but it seems sooo far away! I can't wait to see my baby "> What is your EDD @bbrady1031? Mine is Dec28th.
I've already seen him six times (history of mc) but I haven't seen him in a month and will have to wait three more weeks until August 7th for the anatomy scan. Obviously we already know we're having a boy. The lab lost our NT blood work so they footed the bill for the NIPT screening, so we found out last week.
We had our scan on Tuesday and this babe would not stop moving! We're measuring a week ahead so we might be looking at a November. We will find out the sex at our reveal party this Sunday! I'm so anxious to start shopping for little one.
Had mine yesterday. I love the foot pic of our little princess. We got one at her 13 week NT scan. The grainier one that says feet is 13 weeks. The other one is my Anatomy scan yesterday
So relieved and happy we have a healthy, normal, and active BOY. Suprised cause everyone has said it was a girl. We could have cared less either way. So nice to see him moving around and that he has 10 fingers and toes. Was super nervous prior. Phew!!!!

This Q is for all military mommas on the board! I have an appt Tuesday and was just assuming it would be my anatomy scan. I'll be 17w4d. When was your official anatomy scan? The pregnancy book provided (assuming all branches because it mentions all branches lol) says this appointment there will probably not be an ultrasound. It then goes on to talk about the gender and how it might not be clear to see at this time. It's just so confusing?!? Also the next appt would be in 4 weeks so I would be 22 weeks. The book also states I will not have an ultrasound then either. And says nothing about gender. Lol. What. The. Heck. X_X
Typically they like to get anatomy scan done before 22 weeks but not earlier that 17 weeks... I am not using military this go round but that's been the case for me in the past. Wether that one is just and OB or an anatomy scan be assured it will be before 22 weeks
We had ours today and everything was perfect! We weren't going to find out what we were having but we had to wait longer for the bladder to fill up and when the sonographer went back at the end there was no mistaking bub is a GIRL!! So we got it confirmed and are over the moon as we already have a boy and are only going to have two, DH has already started the protective dad talk ">
Ekkkk!!! Mine is on Thursday as well and being a first time mom my nerves have got me! I have been counting down the days till I see him again so it'll have been 9 weeks since my last ultrasound just praying he is all well and healthy anyone else experiencing nerves in between visits just worried about the babe???
We had our AS today and everything looked great! The tech said if she had seen something unusual she would have told the doctor and they would have talked to me but she said it looked great. She also confirmed it's a GIRL! We had a sneak peak last month and she just confirmed it (good thing because we already bought so many girl clothes while on vacation last week)! LO was all curled up in the bottom of my uterus and there was so much space up top... She was all cozy, moving around and then she got the hiccups! It was hard to get some of the shots thought because she was curled up so I had to go into all kinds of positions... Ouch! So worth it though!
No, my office told me I didn't need to, plus they even gave me a few minutes in the middle of my scan to empty the bladder as it was filling up quickly again. But I have heard of others who were told to. I'd give your office a call and see if this is something they would liek you to do.
Well I just had my 2nd anatomy scan today since the 1st one last week we couldn't get all the measurements due to the position of the baby and today well let's just say same thing. So now on Friday my OB made me an appt at the hospital so they can scan me and so they can also take a look at the heart of my baby. It's going to be a pain to wait until Friday.
Mine is Wednesday morning and it feels like it's taken forever to get here! We are finding out the gender (fingers crossed hopefully) and can't wait to see the little one. I was spoiled at first with ultrasounds at 9,10, and 12 weeks due to concerns about getting pregnant with an iud. So the 7.5 weeks worth of waiting seems like forever! The hours and minutes can't tick by fast enough!
@AudriannaMaria I am also seen on post at a military OB clinic and have the same lilac colored pregnancy and childbirth book. My anatomy scan is a completely separate appointment that I had to book through the radiology department. I had my initial visit at 12wks where they did an US in the office, then a quick 16wk appt, my big US is at 20wks and then I have an OB follow up a few days later. My provider was the one who told me I needed to schedule my anatomy scan in radiology when I went in for my initial appt, I would ask them about it when you go in this week!
@sbeecy Thank you!!! This whole pregnancy has not been by the book at all. I had an ultrasound at 6/7 weeks with the radiology department. I then have had appts at an academy because it was closer to where I was living. My OB travels there on certain days. So tomorrow I will be back at my normal post! It's just so confusing lol. Thank you again for your input. I'll be asking them about it tomorrow!
@AudriannaMaria My only US so far as low risk at an Army hospital was today's AS (I knew my last LMP and cycle had been 28 days so I didn't get a dating scan). US was an entirely seperate appointment. Measurements are taken and sent to a radiologist the OB gets the results from radiologist reports and discusses them with you (my OB said it would take 5 days for him to get the results to be able to tell me anything from the AS). Tricare isn't ever looking/paying for sex/gender but many will tell you during an US if they see it (and you want to know). My OB made a big deal about not buying nursery paint based on any US before 20-22 weeks (I had to have mine at exactly 19 weeks because we are PCSing at 19+3).
My tech did tell us what she thought baby was and put a "?sex" on the picture--however after the warning from the OB that it is still early to be confident AND the fact that my tech couldn't get one profile picture of LO I think I may do an elective US before I start shopping. I haven't heard many people complain that they didn't see LO profile so it doesn't inspire confidence in the skills of my tech :-SI had a close friend have a child at this hospital 2 years ago and an OB nurse told her they wouldn't tell her sex at all because they had been wrong so often at this hospital (they did end up telling her and it was right--but this story is yet another reason I am still hesitating to shop!).
@TomekiaB Thank you! I was worried about that happening. Hubby will be coming home soon so we might just have to go to an ultrasound boutique! He's so impatient and wanted to know when I was like 8 weeks lol. Thank you again!
@AudriannaMaria Yes, I didn't think I'd be looking at ultrasound boutiques but now I am because it seemed so vague. I've seen a lot of questions about boutique ultrasounds on local installation facebook pages so I think the lack of confidence in our US might be pretty common here. I think I am going to try to get one done between 22-24 weeks before I buy any boy vs girl things.
@sammykkkla hope everything is okay. This happened to me once I was very scared turned out to be IUGR she's 4 now but I was nervous about no heart beat :-S
AS went great! Our baby BOY looked happy and healthy. They did see a soft marker for trisomy 18, but are not concerned as our NT scan was perfect and there were no other indications seen on the scan!
@sbeecy@TomekiaB No anatomy scan yesterday, just a check up! They're sending me off post for the scan in a few weeks even though our hospital has it's own really nice radiology department. Insane! We ended up going to an ultrasound boutique to find out the sex! While there the US tech said a lot of frustrated moms from my hospital were supposed to get anatomy scans the day before and the hospital screwed them over so they went to the boutique. Oy!!!! Thanks for the advice!
