Re: STM: What was the worst part of the entire pregnancy and why?

  • Every pregnancy, I usually get a terrible sinus infection... that I can't take much for. Normally, I load up with Norco and Jameson whiskey in hot tea round the clock and suffer through them... the pain unbearable and I get pretty close to actually killing myself over each one... luckily.. I haven't yet, but yeah, not looking forward to this winter :-(

Third trimester! I just could not get a good night sleep! People kept telling me, "Oh, just wait till the baby gets here if you think sleep is bad now." And guess what!? I slept ten times better even with a newborn to tend to in the middle of the night! But, first trimester was rough too.

Seriously! Sleeping is near impossible the third trimester. I may have only had 2 to 3 hours of sleep at a time once my daughter was born but they were the most restful zonked out sleeps I've ever had lol.
  • Though I had some nausea during the first trimester I don't remember it being half as bad as it is this time. For me, my third teimester was the worst. My body could not compensate/ handle the 48lbs I put on and I ended up in the e.r. on pultiple occasions due to severe rib pain. The docs could not figure out what exactly was causing my pain and decided drugs were my best option. I couldn't sleep, eat and driving anywhere was out of the question due to the fact that I would black out. They put me on a regiment of diludid and zofran to try to help with the pain. Thank G-d the mess did not affect my baby, who came out 100% perfect.
This morning/all day sickness I have now is just awful, especially whole trying to take care of a 7 month, a dog, and packing my house to move in two weeks.
