MOVING home to Chicago

I need some advise from anyone who has moved while pregnant. We are finally moving back home to IL from FL next month. I couldn't be more excited to be near family and deliver at the same hospital I had my son. :) However, I am a bit nervous about moving while pregnant and with a toddler. I am pretty much solely responsible for getting our home prepped for sale here since my husband works long hrs. How do I keep myself from getting totally stressed out through this process?

  • Just do a little at a time, take lots of breaks. I've been packing for a few weeks. Definitely start with things you don't need in the near future. Maybe work through each room, one at a time. I have packing add, so I flit from room to room while packing. But definitely take breaks when your body needs it!
  • I'm not moving quite as far but we are moving either right before the baby is born or after (Depending on when house is finished). I have started packing already. I bought a bunch of garment boxes and packed up all my clothes that don't fit. I'm slowly starting to pack the whole house simply people I think if we move when i'm 38 weeks pregnant I won't be up to do much. I've also created to-do lists that breakdown what we need to do for the move and what we need for the new baby. Its helped manage all my anxiety because I can check off things when I do them. Don't forget to just hang out with girlfriends and relax, maybe even ask friends for help!
