According to this app. At 20 weeks it has the baby at 10.2 oz. My little girl was 11 oz at 19+5 and the sonogram tech didn't tell us a thing. My doctor review the scan and she was happy with it. However, I was switched to two week appointment because of my AP and not feeling much movement...until today!!
My midwives only do guesses based on external palpitations and all three times they were right. 6lbs12oz, 8lbs3oz,and 7lbs. They guessed 7,8 and 7. I was very impressed. I think this one might end up being 8 or more, but this is my first true posterior placenta so I'll be excited to see what they think once we're further along. I'd never believe an ultrasound. I've seen them be so so wrong so often.
I'm really petite - 5'0" 100 lbs pp, and my baby was 14oz at 20 weeks. They said that was 80th percentile. I know I was a small baby but that doesn't seem to be having any effect on this lil guy. Hubs was a big baby and is 6'1", maybe that has something to do with it?
My baby weighed 15 oz at my 20 weeks appointment and I just got an ultrasound done at 23 weeks and she is 1 pound 5 oz ... No one has said that she is big at all not even my doctor
We have a big one here too! At 20 weeks my baby was 15.5oz. My doctor is already suggesting I prepare myself for a scheduled c-section. I guess we will just have to wait to find out...

I would be very hesitant if the doc is pushing a c-section already. US are notoriously off and scheduling a c-section based on that is not something I would suggest. My second one was measuring large the entire time, at 20 weeks I just looked back at the pics from then and he was just under 1 lb and considered big. He came out 6 lbs 5 oz. Certainly not large.
That's good to know. I am a FTM and am not keen on a c-section by any means. Everything has been normal up until now thank goodness so I agree I don't see a need for that. I will absolutely keep that in mind and stick with intuition. Thanks for the input!!
With my first, I was preeclamptic and had weekly non-stress tests, which included an ultrasound where they would try and estimate the amount of amniotic fluid. I can't even tell you how many times the nurses told me how inaccurate measurements are on an ultrasound and that they were really just trying to get a rough estimate. It's always bothered me that I was told that and then I hear people being told without a doubt that their babies are huge, and being scared into early induction. Obviously there are definitely some huge babies out there, but ultrasounds really aren't super precise at all, and there is a lot of time for things to change. My baby measured a little small at our 19 week ultrasound, but my uterus is right at the perfect size, and the doctor who read the results said not to worry at this point. My midwives agreed and said that this particular doctor was "anal retentive" (their words haha) and that if there was a real cause for concern, he would have had us schedule another ultrasound. Sorry for the novel, mostly I'm trying to say that it's a little too early to worry about it too much, especially because baby isn't even coming for a few more months!
im 21 weeks today , had a ultrasound two days ago and my daughter weighed at 12 oz . they didnt say it was anything out the normal but as long as she's healthy then im happy .
@christina4436 at my 20 week scan, my baby boy was 11oz and my doctor said he is in the 51st percentile and looking great! Right on track! Although I live in Colorado, which is one of the most common states for low birth weight babies because of altitude. So it may not be the same percentile as wherever you are from, but babies here are always smaller than other places and turn out just fine try not to worry too much! You've got a healthy little baby in there!
I'm the opposite! Had my scan today at 20+4 and she said on the smaller side at 11oz. Said prob cuz of my size but wanted to see me back in 4 weeks to monitor growth. A little nervous :-/ and smaller baby mamas too?
My baby was 11oz too, I have to go back a few more times to monitor growth throughout the rest of my pregnancy too!
I am on the smaller side too!! I just went back at 24 weeks and am still measuring on the smaller side. I have to go back in 3 weeks just to make sure we're still on track. I'm pretty small and I was a smaller baby myself so my doctor wasn't too concerned. I'm going to eat LOTS of food (protein) this week and hopefully this baby grows!!
When I went in I wa 19w5d and my little girl measured 10.5 oz. Dr said that she is 35th percentile but didn't seem concerned in the least.
Thanks @sarahewilliams118 and @MeganKGarcia - thanks ladies! Certainly helps to have your perspective! I bought ensure with extra protein and will be drinking one a day until next appt I live in Wisconsin where I think people tend to be a little bigger so maybe that helps, I was a smaller preemie baby as well!
So...I was just told little dude is 13oz (then the tech said a lb and a half?!?! wtf). Then the doctor told me that was 59th %tile. Also, they are stupid and were using my LMP but we have determined that was not accurate because my periods were way off for the few months prior to conception. So this was 19w5d according to them, but at US at 9 weeks, they gave me conception date measurements and I am actually 21 weeks today. So, if that was 59th for 19w5. That would mean we are measuring small at 13 oz for 21 weeks. I am friggin confused!!! All the other posts here have 13 oz at 20 weeks as large. So really, who the hell knows what's right until the baby actually comes out!
