Hello, mommys!
My doctor recently called me regarding my 2nd trimester ultrasound. She told me that they saw an intracardiac focus on ultrasound- that it's very common, however they'll need another ultrasound and if there are more marks our daughter may have Down syndrome.
Has anyone else's baby had his marking in ultrasound?
We are very low risk, good health, 23 year old mother with no family history of Down syndrome.
We just want to know the true odds of what are daughter may be facing.
Re: Echogenic Intracardiac Focus
I did end up doing the Harmony test after those "soft markers" appeared at my NT scan. Although tests like the Harmony are not diagnostic they may offer peace of mind & help you to decide whether or not to pursue further, more invasive testing... Such as an amniocentesis.
Same here! im 24 baby #3 EIF found at 24 weeks and im just waiting on my blood work to come back now. i think family history is irrelevant tbh. i think they just go by age & markers on the ultrasounds. keep us updated!! i should be getting my blood work back Thursday or Friday of this week!
