Cruising while pregnant

Hello again.
Has anyone else ever gone on a cruise while pregnant? I know all the rules and have all my paperwork submitted to Carnival etc. I'll be 22 weeks while on the cruise....cut off per their policy is 24 weeks. My question is were you treated differently, in any way, because you were pregnant? I don't mind extra consideration being offered but I also do not feel like I'm sick nor am I disabled because I'm pregnant. So I hope they don't act like I'm some sort of special needs passenger. Lol if that makes sense? But on the flip side...I wonder if they'll be awkward about it? I would prefer to just be treated with the same quality service every passenger expects and it not even be an issue. I would love to hear some other experiences of similar situations. Thanks.

Re: Cruising while pregnant

  • We just got back from a Disney cruise 3 weeks ago. I brought a note from my doctor stating how many weeks I was (18 at the time) and that I was ok to cruise and had no restrictions. I have been showing since I was 10 weeks and clearly look pregnant and no one ever asked me anything regarding my pregnancy. I also went on the Aqua Duck (a water slide on the cruise) and the sign read not suggested for pregnant women and the life guard said its just a suggestion and he could not stop me. There were women on the cruise who were def further along then 24 weeks and they didn't seem to have any problems getting on. Have fun and enjoy your trip!

  • Yes I did with my first and I can't remember for sure the cutoff our line used but I know it was longer than 24 weeks because I was 24-25 weeks during ours.  It was fantastic and honestly no one really made any comments other than people we met asking the basic questions of how far along I was, do I know what I am having etc.
