I'm pregnant with twins and I refuse to look at the scale lol. The idea of gaining 40-50 lbs is just too much for me to handle at the moment
Don't stress about it! I had twins and thought my body would be ruined. I started as a size 0 and 5'1" and gained almost 50 lbs. I lost all but about 5 (which I think is breastfeeding weight) by about 9 or 10 months. And I wasn't dieting at all (I eat very healthy though) or exercising nearly as much as I did prepregnancy, when I was an endurance mountain bike racer. Also no stretch marks. My belly skin isn't as taut as I'd like but it still seems to very slowly be tightening up. I'm still breastfeeding at 13.5 months, though this pregnancy has killed my supply, and my poor boobs are a disaster. They will never ever bounce back without surgery.
A lot of it is genetics and how healthy you are prepregnancy. But if you're eating well and find time to exercise after the babies come (give yourself time. It'll be so so much easier once they're 3 months old and so much easier still when they're 6, etc) you're certainly not doomed.
I'm only about 6 weeks pregnant (finding out for sure tomorrow) and I've already gained like 5lbs I know this isn't normal. It's my fault because I was used to working out and eating clean and I haven't been doing either and eating lots of fast food. Any tips on eating healthy? I can't use pregnancy as an excuse to be unhealthy
I'm 7 weeks and lost 2lbs the first 4 weeks then gained about 6lbs.... So I've gained about 4lbs from my pregnancy weight... I'm normal weight... I don't know how or why I'm already gaining but I chalk it up to my huge new breast and my excessive bloating and constipation

I used Dr Brewer's pregnancy diet as a guide last time with my twins and plan to again this time. I didn't eat nearly everything every day because it's a ridiculous amount of food (and I gained almost 50 lbs, see above, but the plan was still more food than I could eat) but it's great for keeping me on track with getting the important nutrients. It's also reassuring when I find myself craving foods on it, like liver and so so so many lemons!!
I've gained about a half a pound so far, but if it's anything like my last pregnancy, i'll start gaining soon. Hoping to keep it to the recommended 20-25 lbs this time instead of the 32 lbs I gained with my last pregnancy.
If there's ever a time to be able to not worry about gaining weight, it's during a pregnancy. So I'm not too worried about it.
8 weeks 4 days and haven't changed at all, although with the bloat I thought for sure I had put something on. I'm just slightly on the underweight side so my DH is quite concerned but my mom was the same and she said she made up for it after the first tri, so I'm not worried yet.
If your BMI is in the healthy range, your target is to gain 1-5 pounds in the first trimester and about a pound a week after that. But sometimes women gain more or less than that despite eating well and taking care of themselves. Every woman and every pregnancy is different.
I am 7 wks and have lost 7 lbs. But I had gastric sleeve surgery in August so I can only eat a little at a time and I started eating healthier foods when I found out I was expecting.
I've lost 15 pounds since my ultrasound at 6 weeks (I'm now 9) because I can't keep anything down. Starting to feel worried but don't know what to do besides keep drinking water...
Down 10 lbs. mostly because I can barely eat. Doctor said he only wants me to gain 5-10 lbs which doesn't make sense to me since the baby will take up more than half that, plus all the fluid surrounding it and placenta and all that. and he doesn't want me losing weight
I've lost 4 lbs since we found out. My 1st pregnancy I lost in the beginning too and didn't gain any weight until 20wks. Then I popped! I gained like 8lbs in 2weeks! My entire pregnancy I gained 25-30lbs. Don't get too caught up on weight though. When you give birth you lose like 15lbs. The baby is like 8, plus the placenta and all the other goo that comes out. Also if you are nursing you lose a lot of weight too. When I went in for my 6wk postpartum check up, I weighed less than I did before I got pregnant. I'm up about 10lbs since my last pregnancy and don't plan to breastfeed this time, so I don't think it'll come off as fast this time around, but when baby is born I'll have a 19mo old to be chasing around plus a newborn, so maybe that will help.
