Boy or girl name?

Hubby and I CANNOT find a name. Current topic is "is it a boy or girl name?"

When you hear Huntley what do you steer towards, boy or girl name?

I guess boy, but honestly it just sounds made up. Find a nice, classic name and you won't have to question boy or girl.

Lol thanks @MamaWren919 and I can totally see where it sounds made up. It's actually a small town in Montana that we pass every trip we make. It stuck in my mind and can't seem to shake it.

I think nothing, because it sounds totally made up. Also, you shouldn't have to question whether it is a boy or girl's name when you pick something. It should be obvious.

It's bad as a name regardless but it's completely horrible to consider for a girl.

I think you should let it be the name of a town. The 'hunt' part says boy but the 'ley' part says girl and put together is just no good.

I have a friend and her surname is Huntley, so it doesn't sound made up to me! I think it could be boy or girl - or maybe a middle name?

I don't think boy or girl. I just hear a trendy, made up, mess. You can do much better.

Huntley doesn't sound like a name for a person at all. Leave it alone. As previous posters have said, stick with classic names and you won't have this problem.
