IUD Fail--- Has it happened to you?

Almost at the five year mark with Paragard IUD and just dound out I'm pregnant. Now I'm waiting to see me OBGYN. Has this happened to anyone else? How did you handle it?

    I could be wrong, but I think they monitor you more closely in this case because it could increase the risk of an ectopic.

    Is it possible to have a healthy pregnancy with an iud? Do they have to remove it?

    Sorry to hear your IUD failed. Mine managed to "fall" out. I went and had an U/S and it was no where to be seen. I was prepared to have it removed and hope for the best. I was definitely in shock and upset that birth control failed me. I'm still warming up to the idea of having another child so close to my first.
