Great alternative to wedding rings for swollen fingers...

I saw a few ladies in here are sad because they had to take off their wedding rings, or are getting close to having to and feel naked without them. A great (and cheap) solution in the meantime would be a silicone ring! Super stretchy and durable, they're only about $8-20 depending on the brand you get. My hubby has one for work and loves it, says it's so comfy. I think that would be a good alternative while our fingers are getting swollen! :) I know I feel naked without mine!

  • Great idea! Also, when people comment on the silicone ring (as they do with my Hubs all the time) you get a chance to brag on how beautiful your normal ring is! I think I may order a Qalo this week!
  • Also EBay has very inexpensive tungsten carbide wedding bands in every size. That's what I'm wearing now.

  • Ohhh great idea!!! Thanks for sharing. I just took my engagement ring off today after reading up about so many ladies having to cut them off... I literally cried when I put it in my jewelry box LOL, I'll see it again in three months though :);) .
  • Another suggestion is wearing your rings on a necklace. That's what I'll be doing :-)
  • When ai first read your post, I thought you were talking about those plastic looking rings, but when I googled, it looks like they have some more adult looking ones. I always wear rings with huge stones and I'm really going to miss them.
  • I just went to SafeRingz.com and they have metallic silicone rings.  The pictures don't look fantastic but the reviews say that they appear like gold or platinum and even sparkle.  I never thought a silicone ring could actually be metallic.  I am curious if anyone has seen or purchased one of these silicone rings.  They are only $8.
  • You can also wear your real rings on a necklace around your neck!
  • I got my husband a QALO for his job at the factory/when he works on cars. He LOVES it. Luckily, I bought my own regular wedding band with room to grow in, and have some cheap backups for when my fingers swell.
  • We have tungsten carbide wedding bands, and these ones are only $20 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009TEEQ3U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My fingers haven't swelled up much yet. Does anyone know if being super pregnant this Summer means our fingers are more likely to swell up? I might order a bigger band just in case, but how much bigger should I get?

I don't think summers guarantee swelling but I notice when I'm hot even pre pregnancy that my fingers swell and my rings annoy me so it makes sense they would swell while pregnant especially in the heat. I had my last DD is June and think I took it off for the last month, maybe two.

My husband ordered from here and has a plain black one that he loves and you can't even tell it's not metal unless you're super crazy up close.
  • Our order came in early and I've worn my safe ring now every day since the day after the wedding on May 30. I'm so glad I had it because my hands swelled up badly after the wedding so I haven't had to go without a ring. I love it. It's not the same, but it'll do.
