gender prediction tests

Anyone believe in all the old wives tales about determining gender? I'm so excited to find out the sex of my baby, I have been reading a lot about all different types of tests. Just wondering if anyone has done them and how accurate they were for you?!

I had boy girl twins last time and all the wives tales were split. No zits, but my hair fell out in clumps. Morning sickness, but just gagging and only for a couple of weeks. Carried in the middle. And my ring test went back and forth.
This time, no zits, my hair is (so far) staying put, morning sickness about the same. Ring test says girl. We shall see in about 11 weeks.

Chinese gender predictor and every old wives tale said girl. Random people would tell me I was carrying like I was having a girl. Even heart rate indicated girl the ring test was the only one that said boy and it was right. I put no faith in any of the tests or old wives tales. My skin was amazing, I threw up almost every day for about 20 weeks and I literally never had any cravings.

I swear the pencil test works! Everyone that's had children in my family did it and it's spot on... Even the ones pregnant it was right everytime! If it's right for me I'll be having a little girl
The Chinese predictor calendar thing hardly ever works.... I got boy for it.

Have you heard of the baking soda test? My SO told me I was nuts for doing it, but we definitely got a kick out of it! Said I'm having a boy..we shall see! Look it up

We aren't finding out the gender but I do want to do a bunch of old wives tales just to compare when I deliver. Plus my son is really into my pregnancy so it might be fun for him to participate in keeping track !

So far all the wives tales say it's a girl I have a gut feeling it's a girl I'm gonna also try the baking soada trick.. Probably do it today..!! I am one of them ppl that hates suprises and I gotta know like right now so I've been doing all the test so far but I'm not showing yet and still haven't had my 1st o.b appt I have it tomorrow with my 1st ultrasound super excited.!

All of the onljne predictors said boy with DS, this time they are all saying boy again. dH wants a girl, I'm pulling for another boy. Have an ultrasound scheduled June 19 to find out at15 weeks. We shall see!

I never do these. lol. I did the Chinese gender predictor on TB it said girl but then someone posted one where I was 2 years older and maybe more detailed? Said boy.
Just peed on some baking soda thinking of course it will fizz, pee makes it fizz right!? Nope no fizz. Interesting.

I just did the baking soda test, it fizzed.... Pencil test says girl though.... So who knows... I'm trying the baking soda test again soon after I drink more water to see if it has to do with that. I don't get how our urine would be able to tell that.

Edit: did the test again after water and it didn't fizz... BUT it did bubble like it was starting to boil Hahahaha

I've heard the drano test shouldn't be done as Preggo mamas shouldn't be inhaling the fumes of drano or touching... The Chinese gender predictor was right for me with both of my girls... This time I got Preggo around my bday. So if I got Preggo on the 20th or after it's a boy, if I got Preggo the 19th or earlier it's a girl. According to LMP I ovulated on 18 (OPK wasn't positive until the 18th) and then my doc changed my due date to dec 11. Which would leave me concieving on the 20th, which is boy. So... I think I have a 50/50 shot lol

Thanks everyone. I have done a couple. I know its mostly for fun. I just cant wait to find out. I have little boy right now hoping for a girl, but will be happy with a healthy baby!!! Good luck to all you ladies!!

It never worked for me to gauge how I was carrying, boobs or any of that before. My short story is i have 2 boys, and of the multiple miscarriages, 2 of those were boys too. I have seen that there is often a pattern if you have a high # of the same gender the odds are you will continue to, but this time something is telling me it's a girl. My left boob is larger, I can't sleep, sick as I always am, but my boobs haven't changed color yet as they typically do and the Chinese gender, with my correct lunar age says girl. That and my husband is convinced it's a girl and already has a name hahahaha. I like the comment I have a 50/50 shot.

DD broke all old wives tales. We were Team Green and everything pointed to boy.
