I'm a 3rd time Mom in my 13 week, just wondering how my Latina ladies are doing? Any traditions and remedies, names or suggestions are much appreciated. I'm 36 and feeling much more with this pregnancy, any one else?
I love your name! Guys always give there sons a jr, maybe a version or yr whole name as a middle name. Are u going to use both Mom and Dad's last name? We r waiting til the baby is born to find out the sex. 14 weeks and u know yr having a girl, congrats, any ideas yet?
My son's name is Giovanie he is not a jr because I don't like that tradition lol and for our girl I am thinking Catalina or Celeste but not sure yet. We are only using my husband's last name because I have a long name with both last names and hate having to sign things. I just want to make it easy for them lol
Giovanie, what a great name! Have u thought of any names that go with your sons name? Catalina and Celeste r cute names also, I know about trying to make it easier for your kids, I just try and figure out what traditions stay and what needs to go. I want to give my last name to this baby, wish I had done it with my other 2. Any traditions u keeping?
Hello ladies . congrats on your babies.. For a boy we going traditional but most because he would be Luis IV... For girl which I hoping for Alyza Liu..
Hello all. I'm in my 13th week with. Our first baby. This week I feel like this little gandule just grew so much and have officially started wearing maternity clothing. We decided that the names we pick will have a Y in it to keep part of my name since the babies will have his last name.
Nice idea, I'm also wearing maternity clothes, or my husband's, whichevers closest. What about hormones? Anyone feeling them more then ever?! My poor husband can't do anything right! Jk he's amazing, just feeling soooo much!
I'm Mexican and my mom and my grandparents are going NUTS with excitement. This will be the first baby and they are so ecstatic!! My husband is white so it's been fun balancing names and traditions.
I haven't really felt any hormones. I'm just really crampy and lots of growing pains.
Hi! I'm mexican and the hubs is white. He's so happy it'll be a mixed baby, haha! Plus he's enthusiastically learning Spanish, and we plan on teaching the baby both Spanish and English. Baby will definitely have 4 names (his first, middle, my last, then hubs last). We still don't know what we're having. Early on it defaulted to refering to baby as a girl and the hubby fell in love with nick-naming it pequeñita. We're really hoping for a boy though, and since we've changed to referring to him as Corderito, since he'll be born in the year of the sheep. I'm an astrology fanatic, and although the hubs doesn't belive in it, he still loves the origin of the name.
And as for real names, we have 1 chosen for each gender already, but that will stay a secret. Definitely a Spanish name though!
I'm Mexican. I have been crazy sick so everyone said I would be having a girl. I loved the idea and was thinking Mariana, Galilea, or Olivia. We found it we're having a boy. My hubs is European so we're looking for Hispanic and Euro names. I like Matias, Andres, Ian, or Iker
Hello I'm also latina 3rd pregnancy, 36 yrs old.. I must say I'm feeling much better theses last couple of days but still alway feeling incredibly tired
Reviving this to hopefully connect with other Latina moms! I'm 31, expecting my first in November.
What names do you love?? What POC baby books are you planning on getting?? What have your mothers/grandmothers passed on to you about their birth stories?!
