3rd Trimester

Baby always on the right side

Is anyone else going throught this ? I'm 30 weeks and my baby is always staying on the right side . He's kicking and moving a lot and maybe even changing positions but staying on the far right .

Re: Baby always on the right side

  • It's likely because of the location of your placenta, so that's all the room he has left.  :)  I only get kicks at the front of my uterus that I notice, I assume because again the placenta's at the back.  At least she stays off my backbone that way!  :)

  • That's normal. With my first daughter she was always on my left side, and this time the baby is always on my right, like enough that it's noticeable, the right sticks out more.
  • My baby is always on the left side, kicking on the right side. The other night, it seemed like he was moving around, but still on the left side.
  • Interesting - mine is always on the left side. I can feel her leaning against me and kicking at my right side (usually up in the rib area)  :)

  • Mine was always on the right. Have the uneven stretchmarks to prove it....Not like even stretchmarks are any better
  • I'm 38 weeks and baby has stayed on the right side for most of the pregnancy that I can remember. I'm curious why but my midwife says that's just how some babies lie. Even after we did a version last week baby settled her feet back to the right side of my body. It gets painful!
  • I'm 28 weeks and my son has been on the right for as long as I can remember.  It stinks because I'm a right side sleeper (well at least when not pregnant) so I've had trouble sleeping because he fusses a storm when I lay on that side.

Me too...with his butt, feet or something flexing near the left side if my belly button, but I can feel the bulk of him on my right side
