Red Cabbage Gender Prediction Test

Has anyone tried the red cabbage test? Its just an old wives tale, but it claims to predict baby's gender. You cut red cabbage and boil for 10 mins. You drain the cabbage and keep the cabbage water. You mix equal parts cabbage water with FMU in a clear jar to see if cabbage water changes color. If it remains purple or no change, its a girl. If it changes to red or violet, then its a boy.
I did the test this morning and it remained purple. Which indicates a girl! But, i don't really buy it. Just did it for fun.

Was wondering if anyone tried this test or the baking soda test to predict gender? What were your results?

Also, not sure how far along you need to be for more accurate results. Idk, like i said was just for fun.

I did the ring on a string test and apparently I'm having a boy (side to side swinging over my belly)

I've done the cabbage test with my last and it was wrong. Said boy but she was a girl . And I've done the needle test over my wrist a ton of times and it said first I'll have a girl then a boy. I have my girl so we'll see

Red cabbage is a ph tester. So it will simply tell you if your pee is acidic or basic. that's the only thing I remember from high school chemistry. Haha

I tried the baking soda last pregnancy and it was wrong.

I plan on doing all these goofy tests for fun since we aren't finding out the sex. I don't necessarily care if they work or not.
