breast pump

Ok so i no that there has been a forum about the free breast pumps through your insurance. But i was wanting to know that if anyone that has got one, knows if they will give you one now that your baby is 4 weeks old?!

Re: breast pump

  • I got a free one and my baby is 6 weeks old.
  • Loading the player...
  • The cover for a year after birth if i am not mistaken
  • Ok. Thanks. :)
  • I got one through my insurance as well. Just make sure you choose a good one. The one I chose is not good at all.
  • It depends on your insurance, so check with them. I know some mom's who were able to get their pump before their baby was born. I had to wait till I had my baby and get a prescription from my doctor. I also wasn't able to choose what pump I wanted, my insurance only covered the Medela Pump In Style Advance
  • I never thought about having to have your dr write a prescription for it. Thats crazy.. hopefully when they contact me they will let me know everything i need?? :-/
  • Go to www.medela.com. They have a tool that guides you to the correct contacts for your insurance. If that doesn't work, call them directly and ask what they need. My insurance had to fax my doctor a form to certify that I was in fact pregnant
    BabyFetus Ticker
  • I got a call this morning about it. The one that i wanted wasnt covered by my insurance, so they are sending me one that is. They said i should get it with un 3-5 work days.
  • I was skeptical, but I used https://www.breastpumps.aeroflowinc.com and had a great experience getting my pump. I entered the required information, and they worked with my doctor's office and insurance company, and then emailed me a variety of different pumps and let me know which were free through insurance, and which I could pay an additional fee for as upgrades. I ended up with a Medela Freestyle through them.
