Re: Healthy Living Check in 4/13/15

  • Clearly I've had a really shitty week and spent the weekend EATING AND DRINKING whatever I wanted.  Now it's time to get back on track!

    1. Something you need to work on.
I'm going back on the Zero Belly Diet today....I hope.

    2. Something you are proud of.
I'm not really proud of anything this week :(

    3. Your plan.
I'm hoping that eating right and exercising again will heal my heart and soul a little :)  Going to do the best I can since I'm still not totally myself.

QOTW:  DH and I tried the Keto diet (like atkins) we last 3 days.  I felt absolutely disgusting and it was really only fun to eat all that cheese and meat the first day.

  • 1. I need to work on keeping my momentum going.

    2. I'm proud of recent changes- nutritionally and exercise- wise.

    3. I plan to keep my running streak going. I've run at least 2 miles every day for the last 4 days. Im running today with my friend, and tomorrow with DH. I want to keep the streak alive!

QOTW: it wasn't an actual fad diet-just a stupid plan of my own, but when I was in high school I lived on power bars/granola bars and grape juice for a couple of weeks. I can't remember why- I think it was around prom time or homecoming. I'm shocked I didn't pass out. So much sugar and so few nutrients. Yuck!

    1. I need to work on taming the after dinner sweets cravings.  :(

    2. I am doing a 10 miler training program and ran 6 miles last night in 58 minutes - a personal record!  It felt amazing.  I hope I can keep it up!

    3. I'm tracking my calories with the MFP app and keeping up with the race training.  Hoping they both keep me accountable!

QOTW: I've never been able to stick to a diet more than 2 days.  So I guess that's my biggest diet fail. ;)

  • @ellebelle2384 that's amazing! I Just started running so my runs are short. I tried to keep up with 2 friends on a 4-mile run yesterday but it wore me out! I'd love to get to tens!
  • @annibes - I swear by the Hal Higdon training schedule.  After my D&C in August I decided I would train for a half while we were benched.  I went from being out of breath after 2 miles to running 13.1 in less than 2.5 hours in 12 weeks.  Definitely check out his schedules, even if you aren't training for a specific race.  They will definitely help with running endurance as well as keeping you safe from injury! :)

  • Thanks, @ellebelle2384 ! I'll check it out!
  • I have lost about 2lbs this week. I am down now a total of 22 lbs since January 12th.  Just chipping away!   I did really good with not really drinking much last weekend and tracking well.  I think I did everything right this week, so I am happy!!  I just need to keep it up.  I have 7.5 weeks to go until my appointment.  I would like to lose another 15 lbs at least by then.
