Having a baby is amazing! But, let’s be real...it’s tough being a new mom. Here, some of our Bumpies share the best - and worst - parts about having a newborn. What are your favorite and least favorite things about those crazy first few months?
Favorite: watching her learn newer things and grow everyday. Everyday im amazed and live to see that smile. Least favorite: the most evident for most moms...no sleep!!, i dont know who came up with sleeping when the baby sleeps, as you can see im up on the bump searching for answers to new mom kinda questions!
@stacyalaina I'm on the same boat. My favorite thing about my newborn is her curiosity and heart melting smile. I do struggle with sleep deprivation and just being couped up at home. Sometimes I find myself counting down the minutes until my husband gets home so I can have a break and perhaps shower. Man.... Showers! I miss a good long shower, haha.
Likewise the community board definitely helps pass feeding times at night and helps me feel like I'm not alone in all of this. I really appreciate the reads even if I don't get to reply sometimes.
Best: I'm a little different lol I love when my baby wakes up at 2 am . He only makes little noises to let me know he's awake . And after I feed and change him the few minutes that he's real calm and laying on my tummy just looking around is my favorite . I think my son and I bond the most during nighttime feedings . And I sleep when he sleeps if I don't have cleaning to do or anything so it doesn't feel like I'm deprived .
WORST : dealing with other people that THINK they know more about your baby than you do . I mean advice is always welcome but some women just try to shove their opinion down your throat . I went through this with my mother and grandmother for about a week with breast feeding . Because neither of them did so .
Best: love the exploration and smiles as others have mentioned. Also love the sleep snuggles! When baby is just so relaxed and comfy laying with me, melts my heart!
Worst: although my angel baby sleeps through the night I still have to get up to pump often - lack of deeps sleep even if I seem to get some sleep it just never is enough! I struggle with going back to sleep after and I also never seem to be able to nap - there's just always something to be done and my mind never stops!!

Yay for sleep snuggles!! Try to shut off your brain a little and relax when you can. You deserve it!
BEST: He's a Great Sleeper! (: &&Being able to watch him grow up and learn new things everyday. Snuggling with him and feeling his little hands grab my finger. Dressing him up in the cutest little outfits
WORST: The thought of him growing up! Otherwise he's the BEST baby a mommy could ask for (;
Best: Holding him, and having him hold me back! And just looking at him and laughing with him! Those smiles are what keeps me sane! Just squeezing him is so wonderful! Can't stop, and won't stop!!
Worst: Sleeping!!! He is teething right now, so he's not sleeping as great as normal, but usually he sleeps well. But while he sleeps I have to wake up to pump! I'm glad I'm able to nurse and give him a bottle but having to wake up while he is sleeping is really starting to get to me. Not too mention it takes me forever to fall back asleep! Which I don't understand since I'm so tired. Some days I just want to quit nursing/pumping but I know I don't want to just for that! Can't wait till I get to go longer gaps in between!
The best: his smile! That lights up my day seeing that little toothless grin. And breastfeeding. I love being able to nourish him and watching him enjoy eating.
The worst: yep. I'm another one who needs more sleep. It's gotten better since day one but I wish we could establish clearer patterns so that I could get things done and get reliable sleep.
He will sometimes get to a point where he's impossible to put down because he's over tired. That's the worst.
Kissing his chubby cheeks and his sweet smile. Snuggling with him. The worst-sleep deprivation. It's awful, I feel like I will never get a solid 8 hours again! Even if he is sleeping, he's loud, so it's hard to really fall asleep.
Worst is sleep deprivation…but slowly shes getting the hang of it. The 1st 2-3months she always woke up 2-3 upto 4 times every night. And even the day i cannot get sleep its so hassle.sometime i get headaches. But the best part about that even i barrly sleep and should be grumpy,whenever i see her sweet smile and giggles everything fades away!! And melts my heart…
