I love all your names- I realize that there are so many "unliked" names on here (not saying that their opinions don't matter) but I feel like they make you feel like you shouldn't use a name that you may LOVE because they don't like it... Like Rowan- or Baylor And from what I thought even thought I've seen and read the why spelling matters post I feel like a name DOESNT have to have meaning... But maybe I'm wrong. Lol that's just how I feel about some of the names I love but others don't
We are still TTC but have talked about names forever ... some we loved previously and then become super popular so they aren't on our list for first names -- middle maybe -- but I'm including them anyway.
Girls
Olivia (we've loved for years but has become so popular!)
I loved Finley for a really long time and it was on my list but I was told it was awful ( it gets no love on here) but if I wasn't leaning toward Stella it might still be on my list @mlc100805
I have a Scarlett Rose, age 7. This is baby number 2, and so far we have the following:
Seraphina (the front runner at this time) Zelda (husband's mother's name. Considering it for middle name but we are wondering if it would hurt my mom's feelings since this will be our last child. I've been obsessed with the Zelda fandom since a kid before even meeting husband, so it works on many levels for me) Juliet (but I'm concerned with it being too close to Scarlett) Octavia (middle name) Aria (husband's pick. I don't like the trendiness, though) Eleni (Eh-LEN-ee. I'm Greek, and I've always thought it to be lovely) Henley (I know what you're thinking, and I am too! I promised my husband I wouldn't axe it completely from the middle name spot just yet. :-/ )
For a boy, we mainly kept agreeing on surnames. I kept breaking my own rules against a surname being a first name! But we had truly fell in love with Whitaker Aaron, Aaron being my husband and brother's middle name. My other choice was Nicholas, which is husband's father's name.
We have gone back and forth so many time. We finally decided on Chase Duncan. Duncan is my grandfather's middle name. Not sure where Chase came from but it has really grown on me. I had also been kicking around Julian, Atticus and Christopher.
Adeline Aurora Alana Alyssa Alisa Ariana Alora Arielle Annabelle/Annabella Anneliese Annalisa Arabella Annabeth Adriana Bethany Calista Caroline Celine/Celina Celia Cecily Claire/Clara Clementine Chelsea Cassidy (although I'm not sure I see this on an adult) Daisy Diana Elena Eliana Elisa Elise Elsie/Elsa Elinor/Eleanor Evelyn/Evelin Emily Emmeline Evangeline Felicity Faith Francesca Genevieve Giselle Grace Gloria Ginger Gabrielle/Gabriella Geneva Havana Hallie Harmony Holly Helena Hosanna (personal significance) Isla Isabelle/Isabella Israela Josephine Jillian Juliana Jocelyn Katherine Lucia Liliana Lilah Laila Lenora Linnea Milana Michaela Macy Madeleine Merida Mercy ( yes, I know) Merry (okay, I understand it's a little different) Maisie Magdalen (I like this for a middle) Nina Naomi Natasha Natalia Nora Ophelia Penelope Quinn ( I know this was a boy's name first but I like it for both) Rosalie Rosemarie Rosalyn/Rosalind Rosaria Renata Silvia Susannah Seraphina Sadie Tessa Thalia/Talia Vivienne Veronica Valerie Vienna Winnie Willa Willamina/Wilhelmina Zola
@jessnjuan07 will you ever be able to narrow that down?! Haha
Oh no, that's just a list alphabetically of names I like. I just thought it would be more helpful than my list but the ones we are actually considering are:
We're having our second son in a couple of weeks and his name will be Lincoln Jack Brady S*******. If we were having a girl it would have been Calla and our sons name is Brinley William David S. People on here don't seem to like brinley cause it's "trendy" but it was hubby's great grandfathers name and people also don't like Lincoln cause it's a last name. We love both our choices
Our future babies (not pregnant yet) will have a beautiful Arabic last name from their father (and the genes to go with it), so we're trying to maintain that heritage in the names:
Girls: Yara (butterfly)
Munya (wish) Amaya (night rain)
Safiya (pure)
Ruya (vision)
Amal (hope)
Boys:
Aram (royal highness, Armenian)
Davi (beloved, Portuguese, but we will live in Europe sooo...) Eyad (strength)

Good for you, I don't like when people change their names just because others say they don't like them, if you really like your name Kee it its your baby not theirs not that their opinion doesn't matter cause a lot of times it helps but they really do talk people out of names they love a lot actually
DH and I are already discussing names, even though we aren't expecting yet. We're both creative types, so we love talking about names. Here are some of the top choices!
Girl
Cecelia Kathleen M.
Tessa Rose M.
Harper Grace M. (I know that's super trendy, but it's been one of my favorite name combos for years! Grr!)
I know my names will get no love on these forums, but we're both really happy with our picks. Team green, so we have our final choices for each sex and then the back ups, or little sibling names. The girl mn are street baby's maternal great grandma and paternal grandma
Lloyd Huckleberry Eugene Cirrus (SO wants Gene but I think it looks too incomplete) Sigourney Marlene (nn Ziggy) Oswin Rebekah (nn Winnie)
