Testing out Ovidrel and FRER questions

Hello,

I have a question for those of you that have been using Ovidrel. I've heard many people talk about testing it out to know when a BFP is really a BFP and not an Ovidrel +. My question is: is there a certain FRER that most of you prefer using to do this? Do you test literally every day after the shot or do you wait until it's close to the time that it's supposed to be out and test? Also I've seen some discussion regarding tests that use blue lines vs red. What is the difference if you don't mind me asking? Thanks in advance.

Re: Testing out Ovidrel and FRER questions

  • I've used the cheap Wondfo tests u get on Amazon. They are great if you are going to use a lot of tests so u don't waste so much $$ with FRER.
I didn't test out my trigger per se, but I started testing around 11dpo, knowing it might be positive due to the trigger (and it was until 13dpo). HOWEVER, my RE also had me doing booster hcg shots every 3 days x2 shots so I'm sure that's why I was still getting faint + tests at 11-13dpo. They eventually lightened and turned negative (boo).

    Me: 27, DH: 32.

  • Thanks. I just bought a basic 3pk at Walmart (but will definitely check into the Wondfo) and tested yesterday (10 days past trigger) and got a BFN. I know that that is early to get a BFP but at least I know the Ovidrel is out of my system now. Though I am disappointed to find out that all of my symptoms are being caused my the progesterone not the Ovidrel.
