We are Team Green, and still haven't chosen a girl name. Here are our top two:
Della Rosemary
Veronica Rosemary
I hate trendy -ella names, but Della seems a little cooler than overused Isabella/Arabella/Anabella. I always loved Veronica. Initial thoughts? Not telling family and friends, so you ladies are my sounding board!

To OP--
Of the two, Della is more my style. I also think it sounds better with Rosemary. If you use Veronica I like PP suggestion of simply Rose (although Veronica Rosemary isn't awful by any means, just a bit of a mouthful).
Della is from Gift of the Magi. Classic name that isn't overused. As for femininity, is that really a concern when people are saddling their kids with horrible unisex or invented names these days? Lol. I think it's plenty feminine.
TTC since September 2012
I think if a name is strictly feminine usage (not unisex--which Della certainly isn't) then it's a feminine name. But as you said, not all feminine names have that girly frill (Veronica definitely wins in that category).
To OP--
I love that you got the name from Gift of the Magi! Love the reference (and what a great character to be named after!)
Okay, let me start off by saying that I like Della. I didn't immediately (its not a name you hear often and as with many unheard names you need to adjust to it) but I feel like it could really grow on me. Definitely feminine and I like that its a nice reference, is uncommon, and is short and sweet.
I am going to tell you this just because when I consider a name I am interested in hearing what images it brings to mind for people. When I first saw the name I thought Della Burke (I then realized the actress I was thinking of is Delta Burke). I then thought of Della Reese. Depending on your age you may not even know who they are and certainly your daughter's peers won't know who they are. However, because of these associations when I hear the name I think of an older, heavyset woman. Please don't let that deter you, though. The thing about connotations that go along with a name is that they all fade away when you meet an adorable little girl with the name. Suddenly, that's all you see. Its why we picture pretty little girls when we here Abigail, Hannah, Sophia, Madeline, etc...and not old ladies like we would have pictured 20 years ago or so.
I love Veronica. Its a favorite of mine.
