Not a fan of the idea. I would never personally expect one. Isn't the baby enough?? (But hey, that's not to say I wouldn't graciously accept if DH got me a push present )
Well I wouldn't call mine a push present but when my first two were born my husband got really cute teddy bearsand to this day those bears are thier everything....I like to think getting your newborn a cute present that they can grow with is nice and expecting to get ablue teddy bear this time!
When I mentioned the idea of push presents to my boyfriend he said "you women just want gifts for everything don't you?" Lol. I'd never heard of the idea until last week. The only present I want is a giant coffee and a couple hours of solid peace and quiet before all the excitement/chaos starts
I'll take a chocolate milk stout and some sushi, too. Good idea on the sushi @amccoy129. Stout and sushi is terrible pairing, an IPA would go better, but who cares. Its my present, right?
Sushi, turkey sub and a beer, yep! @mellymar I'm in for an Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout! Also I want to eye-roll this whole idea of a push present. It feels so archaic or something. Gratitude? Yes! A gift? Ehhhhh.
My hubby asked what I wanted after the baby was here I said a bottle of sweet reisling. He's not a gift person but I will probably get a nice bottle and a cigar.
