We were pretty set on naming a boy Augustus Glenn. Both are very important to us with much sentiment. However, lately Augustus hasn't been rolling off my tongue when I say it aloud. Nn would most likely be Gus. Thinking about switching them to Glenn Augustus or possibly Glenn with a different mn. Which do you prefer, Glenn or Augustus? TIA!

I feel that Augustus Glenn flows better than Glenn Augustus, but both names are great first names, so you have good options whichever way you choose.

The Augustus that I know goes by Auggie, I love his name.
I agree with PP that Augustus Glenn flows better & I'm just not as crazy about Glenn as a FN compared to Augustus.

@homediva I go back and forth between August and Augustus too. For some reason I worry that August is more commonly used as a girl name.

Also I think if we choose Glenn the middle name will be Cecil (after grandpa).

It's not in danger of going to the girls.

The only thing for me is Augustus Glenn is pretty close to Augustus Gloop from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

My fathers name is August Harry. He was named after his grandfathers. He goes by Augie!

I like Augustus, but if it doesn't feel right then try other names and come back to it if it's right.
