Hi, my husband and i are ttc and i think i have read every article on how to "time" your pregnancy and when to predict your ovulation, but i really want some info on women ttc when they never have the same cycle . I have been loging in my periods and my cycle (day) has been different every month. 34,38,32,36,38,31..... so i took some advice i read and had sex every 3 days or so just to be sure for a few months. Im not scared of Infertility since we are in our mid 20's, but not sure if anyone has had this difficulty and has any advice about ovulation or getting pregnant .
I suggest ovulation tests ! They worked for me and my husband. We conceived in just 3 short months after using them. That way you don't miss your day... All women are different and don't ovulate the same. The tracker apps were totally off for me! I ovulate 5 days after the last day of my period. When my app said I ovulated 14 days after the first day of it. Confusing. But the tests are fool proof !! Good luck

The tests are not fool proof and only tell you your body is preparing to ovulate. You can do that more than once in a month, so it is absolutely still possible to miss ovulation. The only way to confirm you have ovulated and therefore whether or not you had well timed sex is by temping and charting. As to the apps you used, of course they told you you ovulated on day 14. They tell everyone that. It goes off an assumed average 28 day cycle and 14 day LP.
She asked for advice about ovulation & getting pregnant.. I gave her what I thought was the best advice considering it only took 3 months for me to conceive my daughter. Given, everyone is different. But the tests are MUCH more accurate than the apps. You're entitled to your opinion & so am I @jnnfrrose6
