How many follicles did you have during your first ultrasound?

Hey Ladies,

This is my first post here!  My hubby and I went to our very first IVF consult on Monday and during the ultrasound they found 7 follicles on my right side and about 15 on my left.  It sounded like this number of follicles may be on the higher end of the spectrum of what we could hope for.  I was wondering how many follicles you ladies have had, and how many of those ended up becoming fruitful for embryo use / implantation? 

We are SO new in our education (and process) and I pray this is a good sign for us.

We are receiving my Lupron shots today via mail, and have our appointment tomorrow for injection instructions. We were told we would be able to start "the process" right now, so we are prayerful for the long journey ahead.

I had a count of 19 - pretty evenly distributed between ovaries. The feedback i got was that was really good and on the higher end for my age (42). I am just starting my first ivf cycle so can't answer the second part of your question.

I had 12 my first ultrasound. I had my egg retrieval today and only had 6 eggs. You only need one good one good luck!!!

I don't have an ovary on my right side so we were shocked that I had 7 follicles, they stated I must have ovarian tissue on that side.

I will PM you so we can keep in touch as I will start my Lupron shots tonight so we are about the same pace!
