Hey all. I've been lurking on and off for a while now. My husband and I married in January of 2014 and have been TTC since then. We are in Pennsylvania together now but were long-distance for the first 10 months of the marriage, so the trying was hit or miss until October. We're both 37.
I had my first appointment with the RE about a month ago and had a preliminary workup but won't be meeting with the doctor to go over the results until after my HSG on Tuesday.
I was all over the place this month. I did OPKs but didn't temp consistently so I wasn't quite sure where I O'd (never had a positive OPK but had one fairly dark one and then didn't test again until 24 hours later so I'm guessing I missed the surge). Despite the temping and OPK fail, I had irrationally high hopes this month because we covered what would normally be our window better than any other month. I think I was also invested in this month because I was hoping to avoid more medical procedures and expense - we've had some unexpected medical bills these last few months for unrelated issues - and because I'm nervous about what I am going to hear from the RE. However, I am CD 25 (pretty consistently 26-27 day cycles) and my temp just dropped and have been cramping slightly yesterday and today. Looks like I'll be getting that HSG on Tuesday after all.
I was looking for a place to find information and support with a solid community and you ladies seem to have each other's backs in a really lovely way.
welcome, I hope you get good news on Tuesday. It is frustrating when you get your hopes up and then they are dashed. I hope your stay here is short.

Welcome, I hope your stay here is short and sweet. I'm sorry you got your hopes up this month, we all know how that feels. HSG wasn't painful, but I took some aspirin before I went just in case. My doc said a lot of women are more fertile in the three months post HSG bc it clears any minor obstructions. Good luck and glad you introduced yourself!
Aaaaaand, we're at CD1 as of this morning. Thanks for the welcome, ladies. This has to be one of the few boards where a legitimately heartwarming greeting involves telling a new poster you hope they leave as soon as possible.
