Accountant Mommies-to-Be

I am a staff accountant at a small CPA firm and 10 weeks pregnant with my first child.  Any other accountants going through pregnancy during this busy time?  How are you dealing with the long hours?

I am not pregnant, but I was working in an accounting department when I was pregnant with DD.  I was pregnant January-September and our fiscal year rolls over in July.  I had a lot of long hours and I just made sure that I moved around when I needed to and brought plenty of snacks to get me through the day.  My boss made sure to make my office as comfortable as possible in the summer months which helped a lot.

I know it sucks and is crazy uncomfortable, but I just did anything I could, within reason, to get comfortable and be able to stay as long as possible.  When I was getting sick in the mornings, my boss let me come in later so that I could do the sick part of my day at home and then I would just work later.  I didn't have any other kids so that worked out well for me.

    Good Luck!
