Neither. It sounds very teen momish. If you must I would do Jason with the nn Jase but as a standalone it's not good

I agree with PPs. I think of Teen Mom and Duck Dynasty. My friend named her son Jace and everyone snickers about it. I think that Jason is a great name. You can always nn him Jase if you must.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I could have sworn Jace on DD's real name is Jason, too!

In any case, I would definitely nn Jace instead of using it as legal fn. Jason's a great name.

JaSe is a nn on Duck Dynasty but they never call him Jason. Hence why when I hear the name all I think about is him and Teen Mom. I like Jason and don't think it's necessary to use a nn with such a short simple name.

FWIW, I don't think "teen mom" when I hear Jase. But I did know several before it got popular, so I guess that helps. I like the name.

I prefer Jason with Jace/Jase/whatever as a nickname.  

Jace/Jase seems like half a name.  However, I know one person IRL who has a son with this name and she spells it Jace.  She's trashy, though.

I know two little boy Jace's and neither are anything close to "white trash" and I've never thought that. Love both ways but if it were me I'd probably do jace

Apparently you like the name Jace / Jase. Therefore I think of Jace as Jace. . pS. I love the name and almost used it but changed last minute to Tyce and love it too!!

I know a few people that have gone with Jace and only one that used Jase (none of which are trashy). To me, the name has a southern feel to it. Much like Wyatt.

My oldest son's name is Chase. I was actually glad when the Jace/Jase trend took off because people stayed away from Chase.

Yes! I view Jase the same way. It's not my favorite name or anything, but I was certainly surprised to hear the feedback on it. I've never known a trashy Jase.

My little sisters name was supposed to be Jace if she was boy and that was in 2003. It doesn't sound "teen mom" or "trashy". It's not like naming a child Takeisha and thinking it's classy. I like the name Jace and prefer it with the c over the s!! It's cuter that way!

Why is this name "trash" because of the teen mom person? Obviously every other person o  this thread watches it lol.  I've never watched it much, maybe couple times, so I don't have any feelings towards it.

Jace sounds like a NN IMO. I would use Jason as a full name.
