hi ladies! 18 weeks with #2. I am having severe lower pelvic pain (I feel like my pelvic bone is being sawed). My doc isn't concerned but I am in so much pain. Anyone? I was thinking maybe baby boy is sitting really low?
My pubic bone is very sore, too. It has been with my 2 and 3rd pregnancies, too. This time it is just more pronounced and happened sooner. Sitting on an exercise ball helps A LOT. I'd give that a try! I feel if I keep moving I am ok, too. It is when I sit down and then try to get up or change positions that it hurts the most.
You could also have pelvic girdle Pain, which is pregnancy related instability in the pubic joint and SI joints from the relaxin hormone, etc. That's what I've got and it's pretty terrible and painful, but a good physical therapist can help a lot.
Mine has been hurting too. I do have chronic low back pain due to a herniated disc and SI joint dysfunction. The pain started getting worse and at my last US LO was breach and the doctor said because his feet where in my pelvis I could have more pressure.
I have the same thing - though for me it is more after I walk/move around a lot vs after I sit for a long time. I have talked to others and seems this is somewhat normal.
28 weeks here and have been having the same problem through the last half of my 2nd trimester!! It's horrible regardless of whether I've been sitting for a while then try to get up (more like stand then double over in pain) or if I have been up walking for any length of time. Dr said it's just from her being breeched but I have felt her flipping and it's still the same amount of pain.
Pelvic girdle pain. I have it too. Chiropractic, massage therapy, sleeping with a pillow between my knees, Epsom salt baths were all a little bit helpful but on bad days, sitting/lying in the tub was excruciating. Some days I could barely walk after getting off work, & could barely get up from lying down. (I had a drug free labor with my first & plan on another- that was nothing compared to the pain in my si joints.) I started drinking tart cherry juice & after discussing it with my midwife, taking a turmeric supplement (they are natural anti-inflammatories) & feel almost good as new. (There is a very low risk of turmeric supplements causing contractions, so we started with a very low amount & made sure I do not have any adverse reactions to it.) If you are dealing with this pain, it might be worth talking to your provider about it.
