Boy name help

I'm looking for honest opinions on the name Bowie for a boy. I'm trying to do something unusual without being too weird or made up sounding. It needs to be shorter, since we have a huge complicated hyphenated name. I'm really having trouble with boy names! TIA for opinions!

I happen to big puffy heart love David Bowie so I'm okay with the association, however I know someone famous named their kid this (can't remember who/don't feel like googling) so it *could* be construed as you trying to be hip/trendy by copying a celeb baby name. Beau is a great alternative in case you decide to go with a variation.

I like Bowie for first name actually I think it's cute and I like that it's unique. Maybe have a more classic name as middle name?

I think it was Zoe Saldana who named one of her twins Bowie.

Like PPs, I like Beau over Bowie, though neither of them are particularly my style. I either think of David Bowie (which imo is not horrible; I love me some Bowie) or the city of Bowie, Maryland (I live in the DC area so we hear/see it on the news all the time). I worry a lot about what people might associate with names, but if the associations don't bother you, then Bowie could be a great choice!

I love David Bowie so much but it's not a good name for a kid in the real world (definitely screams celebrity baby name). My first impression would be that the parents were trying way to hard to be cool
